The next morning, I wake up and immediately feel a little bit excited. I'm going home today!
Well.... Not home home but I'm going with Jack and maybe just maybe I'll be happy again.
I check the time. It's almost 10. Where the hell is Jack? Just then he walks through the door, once again carrying Starbucks in his hand, followed by Mahogany (?).
"Good morning Aubrey!" Mahogany says cheerfully with a smile.
"Hi!" I smile back at her then look at Jack, giving him a bigger smile. "You brought me coffee again?"
He grins. "You're in a good mood." He laughs. "And yes I did. Is that wrong?"
"Nope. There's nothing wrong with you buying me coffee, Jack." I laugh.
"Good. So, ready to leave?"
"Hell yes. Get me out of this damn hospital!" I hated it here. 😳
He laughs. "Okay, okay, calm yourself."
"Here are some clothes..... Other Jack's girlfriend threw a bunch of her clothes in a bag because she's loaning you an outfit and we weren't sure what you liked to wear....."
"Oh." I say surprised as Mahogany hands me a bag of clothing.
"Then after you get out of the hospital, I'll take you shopping- my treat!"
"Okay! Thanks!" I say happily.
"No problem!"
The doctor walks into the room just then. "Why hello Ms. Taylor. I've got to check you one last time and then you'll be able to leave."
"Okay." I reply.
He checks me out one last time then gives me the okay to go. "You're not free to go. Just check out at the front desk on your way out. Stay safe, I don't wanna see you back here anytime soon, dear."
"I promise I'll make sure she's not." Jack promises.
The doctor smiles at Jack. "See, you've got your boyfriend to protect you and keep you from doing anything else."
"We're not dating...." Jack and I say awkwardly together. Why does everyone assume we are dating? Hell, I barely knew this kid before I tried dying! I knew him maybe two minutes before I jumped.... We are NOT dating whatsoever.
"Oh.... Sorry guys. I just assumed since he's been here every day.... Sorry about that." The doctor says looking uncomfortable.
"It's fine." I say.
"Well.... I'm gonna go now. Bye Aubrey. Have a lovely rest of the day."
"Bye." I tell him and he leaves.
"That was awkward...." I giggle.
"Really now...." Mahogany winks at me then Jack, raising her eyebrows. "I think it's a sign."
"Oh sush. Not it's not." Jack smacks her arm.
"Anyways, I'm gonna go get dressed..... Thanks again for the clothes." I tell Mahogany and pull the covers off my half naked body and walk towards the bathroom with the bag in my hands, careful that my ass doesn't hang out the back of the hospital gown. 😳
I lock the door behind me and open the bag. Inside are skinny jeans, leggings, tshirts, crop tops, two hoodies, a thong, some normal panties, panties that are like thongs but not fully thongs, a pair of Nike slides, flat socks, tank tops. A couple bras.
I pull out a pair of the panties like a thong (but aren't actually a thing) and pull them on under my hospital gown. Then I pull out the pink bra that's in the bag and untie my hospital gown, pulling the bra on instead. Hmmmm.... Now what to wear?
I decide on a cute crop top that says Born to be a Princess and has a little tiara along with a pair of slick black leggings. Then I pull on the flat socks and the Nike slides. Well.... This should be good. I do a quick once over in the mirror. I look pretty good.... Well as good as a train wrecked suicidal girl could be, I guess.
I grab the bag and hospital gown and head out of the room. I lay the gown on the bed and hand mahogany the bag.
"You look cute!" Mahogany gushes.
"Thanks. I kinda just picked something and went with it." I laugh.
"Well, ready to go shopping Ms. Aubrey?" Jack asks, holding his arm out like gentlemen used to so the lady could grab onto it. He hands me my cup of coffee as well.
"Yeah. Let's go." I smile, taking a sip of my delicious coffee. "Thank you."
"Anything for you malady."
Mahogany giggles. "Seeeeee."
"Shut up." Jack says looking a bit embarrassed.
"What?" I ask.
"Nothing." He replies.
"Okay.... Well now c'mon. Let's get out of hell."
And with that we walk out of the hospital. Yayyyyy I'm free!

A/N I've for a great idea and lots of inspiration for this story so more updates will be happening. ☺️😍 who's happy that I'm updating again?
