Lost

Chapter 8. White Wolf

~Trigger Warning~

When I woke up I was back home in the den. Mama was laying by the entrance waiting for something, probably waiting on Papa to get back. He is most likely on a hunt.

Wait, now that I think about it where is the white wolf? Where could it have gone, there isn't many good places for a den in the area. I looked back over to mother and noticed that Nessi was sitting with her.

Kota was laying down on my left, while Possy was on my right. How I didn't notice them before surprised me. Amber was curled up in the corner focused on something. I let out a yawn and curled up with the dogs more.

I must have fallen asleep because when I opened my eyes I saw Papa back in the den. He was nuzzling Mama as they both sat in front of Nessi. They seemed to be talking about something important. The man was still passed out, I would have to come up with a better thing to hold him as soon as I got up.

Papa must have noticed I was awake because he made his way over to me and sat down in front of me. "Are you alright?"

I nodded, "Where did the white wolf go?"

He growled, "Do not worry about them, you will not have any need to."

Mama made her way over to us and gave Papa a look. He dropped the subject after that. It was starting to snow so I got ready to leave the den and get what I needed. I went over to a tree and got a big log and a few big rocks. When I got back into the den I stood the log up and surrounded the log with the rocks. After finishing that I grabbed a piece of rope from a sled and tied him to the log. After examining my work I went to grab some raw meat and roast it.

I looked over at Alena and made a noise. She looked up at me before standing to follow. When we got outside she gave me a look.

"I'm going to hope you didn't call me out here to mate. Mating season is in three weeks wait until then."

I growled, "That's not what I want. I'm here to talk about her. She was by our daughter."

Alena sighed before nuzzling my neck, "She's just trying to help. She's making up for lost time, that's all she can do. It's not like you want to let her in."

I growled and Alena backed away, "Westly this isn't some random wolf. We both know who she is we can't ignore her fully. She has a right to see her."

I growled an even bigger growl and turned to face my mate, "No she doesn't. She killed her uncle she doesn't have any right to even be near her. She's lucky I have to protect my daughter or I would have killed her on the spot."

Alena made a sound of disbelief, "You tried to kill her once and you froze. You may say you can but your body wont let you. You may hate that bond but your wolf still wants to up hold it."

I rolled my eyes, "She killed my father and brother!"

"And your father and brother raped countless females! In and out of their heats they bred them. They wouldn't stop until they felt their seed was in them. They wouldn't stop until those females where in pain and had pups. They bred them even after they knew they had pups in them. At least the females in heat got to feel somewhat good, but the ones who weren't. Wes you can't keep protecting them after what they did."

I looked up at Alena and could see the sorrow in her eyes. She barely escaped being one of those victims, if I hadn't been there to save her. I went to her side and nuzzled her neck affectionately. I started to lead us farther away from the den and slowly shifted. Alena soon did as well and cuddled into my chest. I held her protectively and looked around us watching the nature. Thankful that our skin was like fur protecting us from the cold weather.

"They were going to-"

"Shh, I know. They won't hurt you, they can't." I placed my hand on her stomach thinking about what would happen in a few weeks.

"Westly, do you want another pup?"

My hand pressed harder and I thought about welcoming another life into the world with her. I thought about how Tae would feel, about how we would have to tell her about our shifting. "I would like another. I like the thought of you carrying my young again. God you'll look so perfect."

I started to nuzzle her neck and think about it.

"If you want another one I'll carry again. We'll have to tell Tae before we leave for the mating cabin, but she needs to know. And we'll have to discuss who will be the acting leader while we are gone."

I nodded, "We'll worry about all that later. For now just rest, sleep, I'll take care of everything."

When Mama and Papa got back to the den it was dark and everyone had already eaten. Mama looked tired and Papa looked mad, not as mad as earlier but still angry about something. Nessi went over to them and licked their noses, welcoming them back before walking back over to our pile. Kota, Possy, and Amber were next to me and they watched as Mama and Papa laid down around us.

Mama curled up with Papa and quickly fell asleep. She had been getting tired more and more, Papa says because it's close to spring. My thoughts once went back to the white wolf. What gender are they? Are they warm? Do they have a family? Are they loved? These are the thoughts I thought while I fell asleep.
