I awoke slowly still thinking I was running. Why did I have a dream like that? Why did I want that to be happening right now? And what does it mean?

All these questions where running though my head as I sat up and tried to fully wake myself up. I looked over seeing Kota sleeping next to me curled up as close to me as possible. I smiled down at him and ran my fingers though his fur and smiled kissing his head wondering what he would be like a human.

I finally forced myself to stand up and saw that the snow had stopped falling. The sky looked pretty and clear.

So I made my way to the entrance of the cave and quickly jumped into the snow before taking off going on a hunt. I was in the mood for bunnies and barriers. Yum.

I caught a weird scent in the air and quickly ran to catch up to it. It smelled bitter but also kind of tangy. Kind of like bunny blood. So maybe it's blood.

At the thought of food my feet quickened their pace as I looked for the smell. What I found confused me.

There sitting on the ground was the man wounded by what looks to be bite marks. Wolf bite marks to be more accrete. I cocked my head and walked over to him sniffing him a little. Then I quickly checked his pulse finding he was still alive.

But then I heard Papa's howl. It was sharp in the crispy wind and I very clear message.

"Come back home Tae."

I nodded and grabbed the man getting ready to drag him all the way to the den. The slow trot I did took us longer but it would prevent making his wounds worse. The adventure back to the den took about 20 minutes.

I saw Papa and Mama sitting at the opening of the cave waiting on me. I smiled at them and showed them the man who was slightly behind me on the ground. Papa let out a huff but still stood and grabbed the man's shirt dragging him into the cave.

Papa put him in to corner and forced a piece of his sleeve under a heavy rock to make him stay there.

I was watching papa when Nessi came over to me and barked at me. I got the message and fallowed her out of the cave and to where she was leading me. She lead me to a little forest area away from the cave.

"Do you know why I asked you to meet me out here?"

I shook my head quickly and matched her eyes, "I'm guessing your going to tell me?"

She nodded her head and sat down on her hind legs, "I'm setting aside so you can become the next alpha."

"WHY?!"

"Because your more prepared for the job. You already take care of everyone like Mama should, but still you show aggression like Papa. You have the best of both of them. So it only makes sense that you should become the next alpha. I'm sure the rest of the pack feels the same. I'm okay with stepping down and giving it away if it's to you."

I sighed, "I don't know what to say. You've been training your whole life, and I haven't had any training at all."

"That's my point! You haven't been trained at all and you still act like an alpha. Imagine if Mama and Papa taught you more. You'd be an amazing alpha. You will be an amazing alpha."

I sighed, "I'm still not sure. It's a big decision. One I can't take back."

"See that's my point. Your acting like and alpha right now. With waiting to make that big of a decision your showing you can be responsible."

I sighed and nodded, "I need sometime to think alone." She nodded and quickly took of towards the den.

And when I looked up there was that white wolf again. Now that it was closer I could tell it wasn't Mama nor Papa. This wolf was bigger the Mama, but smaller then Papa. This wolf also had a little bit of gray on their muzzle.

They looked stunning, strong, and sure of themselves. A true alpha. I watched as the started to trot away from me.

"WAIT!" I felt my legs move quickly to catch up but I didn't think I would ever catch up. Also I was so tired. Snow was starting to fall and I wasn't sure which way I came from. I went to howl but I was to tired. Everything felt slow and fuzzy.

Then everything just went white.

~Mysterious wolf~

I heard a thump and quickly turned around seeing the girl on the ground. I quickly ran over to her and grabbed a piece of her shirt fabric and started to pull her to her pack's den.

She was a lot lighter then I though she would be. She also looked to only be in her teens. She had stunning brownish hair with darker roots. I could tell that the weather had something to do with changing it.

Finally after sometime her pack's den came into view. Then I started think, would I be attacked for bring her back? Would her alpha think I hurt her and attack? There was no time to think about that right now. I just needed to get her back so they could work on warming her up.

I quickly placed her out side of the cave and scratched on the wall. After I scratched three times I quickly ran away a little bit and stood in the snow watching making sure they came and got her.

He alpha quickly came to get her and looked up seeing me. He curled his lips and growled. What a protective father, what I good father.

I could tell me wasn't happy to see me anywhere near his den. Near his daughter, but he didn't come after me. Didn't attack.

I left before he changed his mind, but not before muttering a quick, "Forgive me."

I was expecting a, "Never" in replay but I didn't get anything back. Just the sound of the crispy winter air hitting the trees.
