A family of five sit, waiting for their luxury meal to be brought to them. The mother and father sit at opposite sides of a high class table within their fine estate. Nothing can beat the Schnee Mansion but in Vale, this house is a worthy contender. Three children, ages ranging from five to twenty, sit patiently waiting for their meal. Their father irritably checks his watch and his wife looks longingly at the door.

"When is your boy coming?" The father snarls, pounding the table with his fist.

"Perhaps a few more minutes." The mother assures her husband.

"He did say that he was planning on staying late." The middle child offers.

"Honey, he's at Signal, perhaps they kept him late."

"School's not in session right now." The father answers the unasked question.

"Let's just have them serve us our food. He can eat when he gets back." His wife assures him. "Besides, how many times has he told you of his dream to be a Hunter and explore the world?

"More times than I can count." He shakes his head, loosing the temper that he had before.

"Surely he wants that more than family time." She smiles. "I remember when you were his age, eager to explore the world."

"Really?!" The youngest chirps.

"Don't remind me." He covers his face.

"Your father was quite the hunter, back in the day." She grins, looking out the picture on the opposite wall. "Those were the days, your father looked so handsome in his Hunter uniform."

"Ew Mom, I'll be eating in a moment." The oldest shakes his head.

The dining room door bursts open and a boy, only a few years older than the middle child, strides in. He is drenched in sweat and holds a sword by his side. Looking across the room, he sees his family's surprised expressions.

"Don't worry, I'm back for dinner." He breaths, out of breath.

"Your going to need a shower." His mother informs him.

"Do it quickly." His father instructs. A stern look from his wife, and he corrects himself. "Please do it quickly."

After a quick shower and a change of clothes, the once sweaty son is back at the dining table. The servers bring out the feast before retreating to eat in a separate room.

"I'm very pound to hear that you've been accepted to Beacon Academy." The father tells his son.

"Charley should have made it, with his hands tied behind his back." The middle child states, with a mouth full of food.

"Sam!" His mother snaps.

"Sorry." He replies, not attempting to hide the enormous ball of food in his mouth.

"Your older brother, Kirk, gained a full-time job as an accountant at the Schnee Dust Company." His father proudly informs Charley. "While you were away at Signal, your sister talked about how excited she was to become a Huntress."

"A position to which, I am proud that she will pursue." Charley replies. "Dad... Father, I've constructed my personal weapon. I can show all of you after dinner is finished."

"I'd rather you not show us." His father replies.

"I saw it already, it's a sword." Kirk informs everyone.

"Not only a sword, but a rifle as well." Charley clarifies, excitedly.

"Why do you need the sword, if it's already a gun?"

"Ahh, you're so boring. It's cool and tactical." Charley replies. "It's tactic-cool."

"Wow, your so original."

"Says the guy who went into accounting. How boring."

"I want to see your tactic-cool sword." Sam states, still with his mouth full.

"I wanna see the tack-tic-ool too." His little sister exclaims.

"Who else is going to Beacon?" The mother asks.

"Alex is coming with me to school."

"Good." She winks. "Maybe she will keep you in line."

"Mom, it's not like that." Charley states.

"Sure it is." She gives Charley a knowing smile, to which his face reddens.

"It isn't."

"Sure it is." Kirk chimes in.

"Shut up Kirk, you don't even know her."

"And you spent and entire week, alone with her in the woods." He reminds Charley.

"We were hunting rabbits."

"Sure you were."

"Ahhh, you're so frustrating."
