My chest felt lighter as I left the cafe despite it being dark outside. I placed the pastries into my little knapsack while thinking about the confrontation that had just happened. Seojun's confrontation wasn't anything new, but I guess it did take me off guard. Perhaps it's because I was used to always being on the other side of it. In arguments, Seojun would always back me up against the other two. We would always be split down the middle, until the other two would give up to my constant whining. A ghost of a smile traced my lips as my eyes slowly welled up with unshed tears. I glanced at my bare wrist. The silver bracelet has been missing from my wrist for the past year: it reminded me of him. Wow, my face must be red from all of this unnecessary crying. Taking my phone out of my back pocket, I glanced at the time while I tried to calm my face down in my phone's camera. Shoot, I missed the bus to get home. What a great way to end this spectacular day, right? Note the heavy sarcasm on that one.

I quickly sent a message to my parents to let them know that I would be walking home. Shoving the phone back into my back pocket, I readjusted my cap and jacket to prepare for my journey. I figured that it would take around thirty minutes to get home, but it proved worthwhile as I took in the peacefulness and tranquility of the environment around me. This street usually wasn't busy at this hour. I found myself smiling at the scenery around me and enjoyed the feeling of peace. Too busy in my thoughts, I failed to notice the loud sound of a motorcycle revving right behind me.

"Hey, Yoon Yoona."

I looked to my left and for the second time that day, I found myself in front of Han Seojun. Once is a coincidence, but twice? It's like the universe is trying to spite me. I can't afford him to get close to me again. I can't afford to lose anyone else that I love. Maybe this is karma for my sudden disappearance. Pretending as if I didn't hear anything, I continued my way down the road to only hear his footsteps pounding the pavement behind me.

"I know you can hear me, Yoona." Just keep walking, Yoona. Hopefully he'll just go away. I heard a faint, "tsk," behind me and felt my arm being slightly pulled back. With the subtle force he turned me around to make me face him. His eyes glimmered with annoyance.

"What." I spat out angrily. I reminded myself to keep up my act. So much for avoiding him before school starts. His eyebrows jumped up as he heard my tone. His facial features quickly morphed into a smirk.

"Whoa, calm down tigress," He always knew I hated that nickname. Out of the three of them, he always knew how to press my buttons the most. Constantly. I blew my hair out of my face with annoyance. Two can play at that game.

"What do you want, JunJun?" I asked with a smirk on playing on my lips. His face turned into one of annoyance as he scoffed.

"Well tigress, it's pretty dark. I was going to ask if you needed a lift?" Seojun's tone held one of arrogance as if he knew that that my answer would be yes. Scoffing, I rolled my eyes with disbelief.

"I don't need a ride on that deathtrap. You need to get home to your mom and sister." His eyes softened as he heard my voice crack over the word sister. I attempted to drag my hand away from the tall boy and instead, he held it tighter.

"Let go of me, Seojun." I tried to make myself as stern as possible while desperately trying to pull my hand out of his death grip. He started to deeply chuckle. Taken aback, I momentarily stopped resisting to only be flipped upside down over the boy's shoulder. My face was greeted with something rather fairly unpleasant which caused me to hit his back.

"Get your god forsaken behind, out of my face!" I gritted out. My hands kept swatting his back to let me off of his shoulder. Although I thought I did something, Seojun just chuckled and walked to his bike with me on his back.

"Enjoying the view tigress? Promise not to run?" I felt his chest rumble as he snickered. It seems as if my constant hitting didn't do anything to him. My lips slowly turned into a pout.

"First off, I did not enjoy this awful view. Secondly, no promises, JunJun." I heard a chuckle which made me bite back a smile. It was nice to hear something familiar after a long time.

Hearing my confirmation, he set me down quite harshly to the point where I almost lost my balance. In disbelief, I started to mutter profanities until I heard his clearing of his throat.

"Catch." He threw his black helmet to me, which I barely caught. I narrowed my eyes at him, but then frowned when I realized that there was only one helmet.

"Where's yours?" I asked despite knowing the answer.

"I don't need it." He shrugged nonchalantly as he gestured for me to sit behind him on his death trap.

"But, Seojun you're driving. You'll need it mor-," I started to explain that he would be in danger without a helmet. Seojun scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"You're more important," he stated plainly, "and I promised him that I would watch over you." He avoided my gaze as he picked at his leather jacket. My eyes softened. I would let my guard down for only tonight, just like the old times. Walking in front of the motorcycle, I faced Seojun. He stared at me quizzically before realizing that I was going to put the helmet on his head. As I snapped the buckle into place, I could feel his stare on my face despite having the visor down. He opened his mouth in protest but soon stopped when he saw my death stare. After making sure that his helmet was secure, I hopped onto the deathtrap, itself. Despite not seeing Seojun in a year, I remembered the routine for riding his motocycle. I wrapped my hands around his torso as I leaned my body weight onto his back. I could feel him tense up and then relax.

"You need to hold on tighter, Yoona. You know this." He sighed as took my hands and readjusted them tighter around his torso. I could feel my cheeks heat up. Strange, here I thought these feelings would go away after a year apart. Let your guard down for today, Yoona. Only today.

"Thanks, Seojun," I whispered, my cheek resting against his leather jacket. Adjusting myself to get comfortable, I tapped on his torso twice to let him know I was good to go. Unknownst to me, Seojun let a small smile spread across his face as we drove into the night.
