"Erza, wake up... Come on... Erza" Lucy had complete faith that Erza would figure some way to escape, if only she would waken. Instead, Gray stirred beside her, blinking a few times before awakening fully and struggling against his bonds, after noticing that they didn't even allow him to sit upright. "Lucy, what's going on?" he asked, his voice rough with concern as he noted the others in the room. Lucy quickly explained the situation, watching as Gray's face darkened with each word.
Finally, Gray sighed, shutting his eyes for a few moments before he opened them to look at Lucy. "Hey, how come you can sit up?" he asked, motioning to her upright position with his chained hands. It was a confusing gesture, due to his restraints, but she understood it nonetheless. "I.. I don't know... I-" Lucy gasped when she was suddenly pulled down by Gray. He was only just able to reach her as he pulled her into his strong embrace.
Lucy had been about to question him about his actions, but Gray silenced her with a look. So, she remained silent for a few moments before hearing heavy, male voices seemingly from far off. It was amazing that Gray was even able to hear that far away, but Lucy had no time to mull this over, as the voices and heavy footsteps were coming closer. A part of her wondered why such bad happenings continued to follow her around. She wondered why they kept happening to her. She hadn't even properly healed from her last stroke of bad luck, and now, she was trapped somewhere.
Lucy shut her hazel eyes, straining her ears as she heard a low and unfamiliar voice. She couldn't make out the words being said, but she could easily hear the malice in this person's voice as the heavy footsteps stopped right outside the shut (and presumably, locked) door. Erza... Someone... Please help... she prayed as she curled into Gray, as if for protection as she waited. Suddenly the door swung open, startling her.
"Rise and shine... FairyTail's elite" A cruel voice sung as a sudden, piercing sound broke through the silence that ensued after the man's voice. It was so loud, it almost burst Lucy's ears. The sound was loud enough to wake Erza, Wendy, Carla, Happy and even Natsu.
