"Stop talking like that Elizabeth"
The voice rang in her head and it always stayed in her head even after the voice had left for awhile.
"Like I said! I'll say what I fucking want"
Elizabeth snapped back but went back to reality after somebody told her to follow them.
"Okay I'm here to question you about the recent murders"
The officer said in a soft voice as Elizabeth was just a young girl while a woman joined the male officer getting out a clip board.
"Okay little miss please state your full name and age please"The woman said with a soft British voice looking at Elizabeth's green eyes.
"Elizabeth Violetta Afton and I'm eight years old"
Elizabeth looked down at the floor looking at the bruises and cuts on her legs on her leg above her socks that had a stain of blood from her father hitting her telling her what to say.
"Okay Elizabeth I just have a few questions then if we think you know something we will keep you as a witness or suspect of the murders"
The male said writing down what Elizabeth said.
Elizabeth sniffled holding back tears as she nipped her self and held back tears.
"Hope we aren't scaring you sweetheart"The woman said hearing Lizzie sniffle "My names Zara and his names Jonah"Elizabeth looked up and Zara gave her a reassuring look "o-okay nice to meet you"Elizabeth didn't meet their eyes as Zara went to whisper something to Jonah
"She seems out of this it makes her look guilty"
"She's a little girl"
"Where were you the day of the murders?"
"I was with my brothers near the back room"
Jonah wrote that down
"Why were you present at the suspected murder place?"
Zara asked keeping her voice calm and steady.
"My father owns the pizzeria and he keeps me there to keep an eye on me after school with my mom gone"
Jonah wrote that down aswell
"Uh where's your mother?"Jonah asked looking up and cocked his eyebrows in a confusing way "I don't know"She looked back down at the ground and Zara whispered something again.
Six hours later
"Okay Elizabeth I'm sorry but I'm going to have to ask for you wrists"Zara got up and forced Elizabeth's arms up so she could wrap them around her wrists "WAIT!"
Zara stopped and pulled her chair up to Elizabeth's and sat up more "I saw my dad put a man in a golden suit and then I saw that man lead kids into the back room before I sat down there with my brothers my father doesn't know that I saw that"
Zara took off Elizabeth's hand cuffs and asked for her to give a description of what he looked like and asked for her to be a witness "we will be in contact with your father meanwhile Zara is going to take yo-"
Jonah noticed the blood bruises and cuts on her legs "Elizabeth is somebody hurting you?"Elizabeth looked up and said no but she was lying before and she was lying now.
"We will be in touch"
"Thank you officer"
William said before Zara drove off "good girl you made me proud."
Elizabeth's face lit up with joy "REALLY?!"
"OW DADDY!"
"NO IM NOT PROUD I WISH YOU DIDNT EXIST"
