The Psychopath's Daughter

"Father."

I called out.

"Yes?"

"I have something to ask you."

I said.

"Go ahead, my daughter."

This question has been lingering in my mind ever since I was born. But since I can't ask him that question, I'll just ask another one that is related to it.

"Where is my mother?"

I can't tell father that I saw him killing her. As soon as I asked that, he flinched. Neil also flinched.

I don't know why he has to kill them.

My father, the king's brother, the only Archduke of our empire, a handsome man, can have as many women as he wants. But why does he have to kill them off?

In the story, the story explained the other characters' backstories, especially Noah, a popular character among the readers.

His mother and his brother's mother are siblings, and both are the concubines of the king. Noah is three years older than the current emperor right now.

On the same day and time, the boys' mothers were planning to kill each other but little did they know, their sons were also plotting to kill them.

Noah's mother and Arnold's (the current emperor) mother, just see their children as a tool to catch the previous emperor's attention.

As time passes, the hearts of their children only became colder and colder, their sanity slowly fading away. Arnold was able to hold onto the last ray of his sanity, but Noah was completely engulfed by the darkness.

Noah began enjoying killing people, but he isn't like those who enjoy killing innocent people. He began to participate in wars, of course, it was good to get rid of enemies, but the sight of him enjoying killing people makes the soldiers in present shiver in fear.

He was just an 11-year-old immature boy who was just seen as a tool by his mother, and his father, the emperor, doesn't even bat an eye.

While he was in the war, killing enemies, Arnold, on the other hand, still grasped his sanity by training swordsmanship to not lose to Noah and studying to make his mind stronger.

While Noah is a crazy psychopath who is negative, Arnold was the opposite. The rope that was starting to break him from the last hope of him being, he completely grasped it in his hands, never letting it go.

But Noah... The reason why Noah was popular among the readers despite being a mob character, was because of his pitiful past, handsome looks, and his savage and possessive personality.

He experienced more pain than Arnold. He didn't bother to hold the ray of light and just let himself drown in the cosy darkness.

With that, his mind became negative. And without even realizing it, he became twisted.

And when the time came, their mothers were murdered together, the king died due to the assassination of the siblings' family, and Noah gave the crown to his younger brother, and in exchange, Arnold gave Noah the title Archduke.

When he already needed an heir, he wanted someone that completely looks like him. He began doing a lot of 'that', but none of the children ever looked like him. The hair was the same, but the eyes and face weren't. The eyes were and face was the same, but the hair wasn't. That was until Alya came.

The only one who could bring him out of the darkness was his daughter, Alya Alin Addison. She has the same eyes and hair, but her face was nothing alike to him, but whenever he looks at her smiling, she was like a beaming light.

He became protective of her, he hid her from the world. But that was when she was kidnapped, he understood.

That even when he's hiding her, everyone will find out that he has a precious daughter. 

But after a day without her, he became insane. After a week without her, he began killing the robbers. And finally, after a month without her, he went to war and killed the people brutally.

He rescued his daughter with a bloody sword, his armour with so much blood, and a smile on his face.

"My daughter... I'm glad you were safe."

After seeing her, he felt like he was purified. He was a caring father but a psychopath in battle.

That was the description of him in the story.

"She died of childbirth."

Yeah, after she gave birth, she was killed. But I can't blame him. He was still crazy at that time.

"Oh... is that so..."

Why won't he tell me? I'm his daughter. Even if he told me that he killed her, I would still consider him as my father.

No matter how much I want him to tell me the truth, I can't force him. Because I am his daughter. And he is my father.

I hugged him and patted him on the back.

"Daddy."

"L-Lya?"

He stuttered in surprise.

"I will wait for you to tell me the truth. Just tell me whenever you are ready. But please..."

"...Lya..?"

"Please remember that I will always love you, I believe in you and I trust you. So don't just carry burdens by yourself."

I buried my head on his neck. I can feel him stiffening in shock.

Oh, by the way, do you like this chapter? I think the previous chapters were boring, so I made some Alya and Noah moment.

I really feel so sorry for Noah. Even if he is just some character, I feel bad for making him a dark past.
