Kat's POV

For some reason Karl was giving me moon eyes or something. I honestly don't know why I think he might be high or something.

"Hey, I made Red Thai Curry for dinner do you want any?" I asked, to be honest I had made a lot. He looked down at his stomach which rumbled a little bit.

"Sure! I didn't know you could cook!" He smiled at me.

"Oh yeah, I love cooking. You're favorite movie is Ratatouille right? Maybe I can make you some Ratatouille some time." I laughed walking out of the office.

"Wait really?" He asked jumping a little bit. Man, my neighbors beneath me are going to hate me if I have him over consistently.

"Sure, why not? It won't be good but I would love to try!" I laughed making him a plate. "Alright so I like this a little spicy so watch out."

"I'm sure I can handle it!" He chuckled to himself. I watched as he mixed up the rice, vegetables, and sauce all together. He pick up his spoon and took a big bite. It was warm but not hot like when I had it. At least it wasn't cold though. "What were you watching?"

"Oh I was watching a Wolverines game. Tomorrow I'm going to watch an Eagles game." His face started turning a little red, but he kept eating.

"I did not realize how hungry I was." He said as he shoveled more and more into his mouth. His face was getting redder and he had started sweating now. I walked over to my fridge and poured a glass of almond milk.

"Here, you're sweating." I laughed and handed it to him. I decided it was probably time to put the food in a container and put it in the fridge.

"Thank you. I thought you said a little spicy." He shouted a little at me.

"Ummm, so with the recipe it has a scale of 1-5 , and I did the 3. So it's just a little in the middle. I didn't think it was that spicy." I laughed and started rinsing my dishes to put in the dishwasher.

"It's really creamy and good though! Despite the fact that I'm burning alive a little." He continued to take bites.

"I switched coconut milk for cream." I smiled, it was fun having someone each my food. I really missed doing stuff like that, in college my room was the place to be. I never had leftovers and people would pay me to make stuff. Now, I just eat by myself.

"I thought MIT was a computer school?" Karl asked, I gave him a weird look. Surely I hadn't fried his brain that much.

"It is. I got a computer science degree...." I laughed at him a little and checked his forehead.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm just checking to see if you have a fever or something. That was a really weird question." I joked with him. His face somehow got redder than it was before. I swear he could blend into a fire truck.

"I was just curious as to where you learned to cook. I thought maybe it was a culinary school." He shrugged.

"Oh, I took a few classes when I was younger. Plus I've worked in a few restaurants, but mainly I just follow Pinterest recipes." I told him and sat down next to him at the dinner table. "Thanks for coming over. I miss having people come over here to eat. Even if it is at 11 o'clock at night."

"I mean, as long as my mouth doesn't catch fire next time. I'm down to come over more often and eat. I need to stop eating junk all the time." He laughed, my eyes lit up at the opportunity to cook. I'm My head flooded with new recipes I wanted to try or old ones I wanted him to try. I'm sure I was smiling like an idiot. "Also sorry it's so late, but I had just finished streaming and kinda came here on a whim."

"You seem like a whimsical kind of person." I patted my hand against his shoulder. "It's refreshing."

We talked for a little while longer and he finished my food. He insisted he would rinse his dishes and start the dishwasher. We watched Up after dinner and continued to talk. He was honestly such a sweet guy, I laughed so much while he was there. Unfortunately, He left around 130 in the morning. I went straight for my bed afterwards and fell backwards onto the mattress. I checked my twitter for the last time that night to see a tweet from Karl around 1130.

You said you could HANDLE it!
Next time, I'll make a not spicy version
just in case you stop by.

I laughed to myself and put my phone on the charger. My head fell on the pillow and I smiled to myself as I drifted of too sleep.
