~Eighteen. ~
A few days later, Larissa had healed enough that she was now able to travel with her uncle back to their kingdom. She was helping Elissa pack her things back into the trunks that they had used as carefully as she could as her side was still hurting her, and it pulled each time she overdid something. She sat down on the bed, taking a break from helping Elissa as the latter was directing the maids and servants as they moved her trunks out of the room and to the carriages in the courtyard that were waiting to take them home.
Elissa looked over at Larissa after she had finished giving out her instructions to the other servants and she watched Larissa carefully. She still had the flower that Romulus had given her in her hair and Elissa was surprised that it hadn't wilted yet, given how long ago it had been picked. She watched Larissa as she reached up and touched the flower, almost as if she were unconsciously checking to make sure that it was still there before she lowered her hand and looked over at Elissa.
"How is it coming along?" she asked Elissa as she went to stand up, wincing before she sat back down again rather quickly.
"We are nearly done, Princess. Once they have everything from both your room and your uncle's loaded onto the carriages, we will be able to leave," Elissa replied, and Larissa nodded her head.
"Good..." she said as she looked down some before, she sighed, and she stood up carefully. She walked over to the window and looked out of it as a knock came at the door to her room.
"From whom?" she heard Elissa ask before the conversation drifted off and she glanced over her shoulder at Elissa before she looked back out the window.
"Princess. This was sent to you," she heard Elissa say and she turned around to look at her as she came over with a small box held in her hands.
"Who is it from?" she asked as she accepted the box from Elissa.
"I'm...Not entirely sure. The servant who brought it didn't say who it was from but there was a note attached to it," Elissa replied as Larissa picked up the note and opened it to read it.
Dear Princess Larissa,
I thought that this would be a better momento of your time here at my home.
I hope that you like it.
Signed,
R.
Larissa read the note before she smiled softly as she folded it back up and she looked at the box carefully. Curious as to what he could have possibly sent her, she lifted the lid of the box and gasped at what was sitting on the crimson cushion inside.
On the cushion sat a beautiful and delicate looking necklace. The chain was silver, and the links were delicate and small as well. A small, diamond shaped crystal sat as the pendant and she could only guess what type as it was clear. She picked it up carefully before she looked at Elissa as she held up the necklace for her to examine it as well and she gasped.
"It's beautiful, Princess! Who sent it?" she asked as she looked at the necklace.
"His Imperial Majesty..." she said carefully before she put the necklace on, doing up the clasp as she moved over to the mirror to see how the necklace looked. Smiling softly when she found that it looked good, she turned away from the mirror and turned to Elissa.
"I'm going to the rose garden. Come and find me when we are ready to leave," Larissa said to Elissa before she turned and left the room, making her way out of her room and towards the rose garden.
