Snow started to gently fall from the grey sky before landing on the blanket of white snow. It has been hours since both Hashiras stepped out of the estate and nothing was heard between them except the sound of snow beneath their feet.

Giyuu barely looked back to his companion nor bothered trying to start a conversation. Sometimes (Y/N) couldn't believe that she was staring at the same Giyuu she met in front of Urokodaki-sensei's cabin. He used to talk to her, visit her while she was training. He even constantly smiled at her, but now, all he bore was a never-changing stoic facade.

They were almost at their destination before the sun was about the hit the horizon. Feeling the weight on her legs, she started to build the nerves and try to talk to the Water Hashira.

"Tomioka-san, I think it's better to rest in Hisa's estate before we get to the next village." (Y/N) declared before running beside Giyuu, "It's almost sundown and we haven't eaten yet."

(Y/N) didn't know but every time she said the male's last name, the more it was harder for Giyuu to keep his emotions intact. His chest was already heavy from his own regrets and (Y/N) acting like strangers made it far worse. All he can do at that moment was glance towards the other Hashira and giving her a slight nod.

Feeling a sigh of relief, (Y/N) started to run in front of the blue-eyed male and took the lead. Hours passed since then and both of the Demon Slayers halted in front of two wooden doors before an old woman appeared.

"Welcome back (Y/N)-sama and Tomioka-sama." Hisa proclaimed before bowing her head slowly.

"No need to be formal Hisa-san," the Lotus Flower Hashira embarrassingly said, "We just need to eat and stay for the night."

"It'll be my honor to let you both stay here. Please come in." She then opened the door wider for both (Y/N) and Giyuu to enter.

The ebony-haired Hashira was tagging behind her as they entered the estate. No matter how many times (Y/N) visited this place, she always felt grateful for the old lady to let Demon Slayers in. It was rare for people like her to exist due to the government not recognizing the Demon Slayer Corps. To other individuals, demons and their slayers were all a myth. A folklore. No one will ever believe in these devil-like creatures unless they see one for themselves. Unless they see their family members and loved ones being eaten by one.

That's what the Demon Slayers were for. It's their job to risk their lives to prevent these catastrophes.

"This will be your room (Y/N)-sama." Hisa proclaimed before moving onto the next room where Giyuu will reside.

Walking towards the patio door, she slid open the door amazed at the view she never got used to. The light that came from the moon basked over her figure as the winter winds flew through her (H/L) hair. Although she knew she had to rest, she slowly stepped onto the gravel and practiced her breathing techniques. Taking out her nichirin blade, she closed her eyes and started to clear her mind. Controlling her breath, her head sprang up as she posed her blade beside her.

"Lotus Flower Breathing, First Form: Crimson Lotus,"

Millions of petals flew everywhere forming a shape of a tornado as she spun her body gracefully. Her white nichirin sword quickly spun in circles, too quick for a normal human being to see. (Y/N)'s body showed elegance as she continued to do her form under the moonlight.
