Troubles Coming

How Should I Feel?

Hayden and Sasha were dropped off a relatively nice hotel named, "Cardinal's Inn". Hayden checked in while Sasha looked out at the city and felt like it couldn't harbour evil. They both picked up their bags and went into their neighbouring rooms; 256 and 257. "I'll let you get settled", Hayden said, entering his own room which had a king-sized bed, a table, chair, desk, wardrobe with an ironing board, small bathroom and 15" TV that had 5 channels. "I have not missed hotel rooms", Hayden said as he flopped onto the bed, making a mess of the cleanly made bed. He stayed there in silence for ten minutes, just thinking. He hoped this mission would go as well as his previous ones. Hayden sighed and got up, he unzipped his suitcase and started putting his clothes away as he and Sasha would residing here for two weeks. It was ten to ten and Hayden was starving. He sighed and spotted a convenience store on his way in. Hayden exited his room and knocked on the door of Sasha's room to see if she wanted anything. Sasha answered and looked at Hayden and gave a small smile, "I'm going out", he said, "You want anything?". "A coffee if that's okay", Sasha answered. Hayden nodded, "Sure, what do you drink?". "Americano, two sugars if possible". Hayden nodded and went on his merry way. He hoped the food in this city was good. 

As the sun rose over the city, Zain sipped a mimosa with his breakfast of scrambled eggs Alexa had made. "Top notch as always, Alexa", Zain said, giving the saved portion to Shepard who was waiting patiently. "Thank you, Zain", Alexa said, "Do you require anything else?". Zain checked to see if Shepard had finished his eggs, which he had. "Just to wash the dish up and that will be all for a while", Zain said, picking up the plate and handing it to Alexa who walked to the kitchen. Zain breathed some fresh air in and exhaled calmly. "I'd say life can't get better than this", Zain said, reclining in his garden chair. "I know the agents are here", Zain said to himself, "How should I feel? Happy? Sad? Dread? I don't know. I will give them one chance to leave and if not, I will have to use lethal force". Shepard turned his head sideways at Zain. He took the last sip of mimosa and got up and grabbed Shepards lead. "Let's go", he said, "Let's go and pay a friend a visit".
