It has been a few hours since the king's and his counsilor conversation, jungkook took a nap after that. He got up from his nap from the sound of knocking on this door. Once he opened it he was greeted by the face of Elizabeth, a few of her servants and her lady in waiting, she was smiling at him telling him that it was time for dinner. He had no choice but to get ready as the royal family of the Northern Kingdom was already waiting for him on the palace's dining room. When he got out the princess was still there waiting for him. Great, he thought. Jungkook smiled back at her not wanting to seem impolite.
The princess immediately wrapped her arms against his when he completely stepped out. Then they started walking to the hallway connecting different rooms, her minions following them at their backs. Jungkook was a little bit uncomfortable by this. It wasn't because he didn't have some servants following him from time to time, it's just that she had a lot of them following her.
"Darling, you know you don't have to fetch me from my room" he said, looking at her for a second.
"Well I wanted to. Aren't I the sweetest?"
No. He wanted to reply.
"Of course you are darling. I just don't want you to walk that long it would hurt your pretty feet." Jungkook replied his lips formed into his sweetest smile. To the princess his smile was genuine and breath taking, but if it was someone he knew for a long time they would know that was the fakest of the fake smiles he ever gave to someone.
The king honestly doesn't want to hurt the feelings of the princess, but she couldn't take the hint that he doesn't like her at all! Is she that dumb to not notice that all he was saying to her was just pretend? Well it was probably because his act was very believable, but also probably Elizabeth was a bit stupid as well.
"Okay then! I'll just send one of my maids to you tomorrow!" She said while giggling a bit too much.
Thank the lord their walk towards the dining room was peaceful after their conversation. When the duo and their company reached the front of the room where they would be eating the princess asked her maids to leave them. After that they walked to the room.
There the king and his wife with the two other siblings of the princess was already seated. The king was seated on the other end of the table and his queen on his left, the other end vacant. And the seat beside it as well. It was most probably for them too, jungkook wanted to cry I despair. He couldn't do anything about it as they we're technically engaged so he just sat quietly and they began eating.
When they all finished eating jungkook didn't hesitate to stand up and leave he and once he excused himself he never bothered to look back. He knew that once his father heard about this he would be mad at Jungkook, but right now? Jungkook doesn't care. The dinner was awful! It was dreadful to the young king, well it was not because of the food, it was because of what they are talking about on the table.
The conversation honestly started well in jungkook's end, they were only talking about both of their kingdoms but as the time passes the talk went downhill. They started to talk about him and Elizabeth's relationship, god they even started to plan about the marriage of the duo. atleast one of them seems to noticed jungkooks discomfort though the youngest sibling smiled at him to comfort him. Anyways, not to mention the constant touching of Elizabeth on his thighs. It was very inappropriate for him at least. But of course he didn't say that.
Jungkook felt sick, he was so overwhelmed with everything that's been happening. He was not feeling very well when he was walking through the corridors of the palace his mind pretty occupied from the conversation earlier. The king didn't notice that someone was walking towards him because of this so he accidentally bumped into that person. Their impact was pretty hard that I made the other fall from his bum. This made the king fall back into his consciousness when he heard the loud thud, he looked at the boy who fell holding his hands down which the boy politely accepts.
"I'm sorry I was not paying attention" he said smiling at the latter apologetically pulling the boy up as well.
"No your majesty its not your fault! I wasn't looking as well" the smaller replied bowing at him. Then the king replied back. "Nonsense it really was mine."
"How about this," the king once again said. "If you really think it's yours join me for a walk I would really need a company with me right now"
"But your majesty! It would really look weird If someone sees you with a mere servant!"
"Well no one would think weird about it If we don't make it weird am I right?" The smaller of the nodded at this hesitantly. "Besides, I wouldn't take no for an answer."
When the king signaled the boy to follow he did, it was not like he had a choice. He can't deny the king's order. They boy followed him until they reached a very familiar place to the boy you could call it his home, the pond where the boy spends his whole day at. They both sat on a small grassy hill near the pond and a tree shielding them from the night sky. The two boys sat a bit far away from each other as they were strangers to each other, or at least just for the other one.
How could the other know it's him? When he lost his memories about the both of them.
