13. Birthday

Lisa's POV,

"Big Day Today" I said to myself even though there is no one in my house. I woke up early than usual today and did my workouts, went for a jog with Jisoo in the Park. I occupied my mornings for studying the exams that are about to conducted next week.

This week will be filled with fun and leisure activities, So I made sure I am not lagging behind my assignments.

" Lisa, it's time to prepare yourself for the Birthday Event" my maid said. I was sipping coffee and simultaneously typing on my laptop.

"Sure, I will be back in a minute" I said smiling at her.

I finished my essays as soon as possible and went for a quick shower. Drying off my hair, I went downstairs where my caretaker was waiting for me.

"The dress arrived and your gift is also delivered" she said holding two bags.

"Really, I was waiting for it" I took the bag and opened the box. I ordered this with much thought, I hope she really likes it. I heard she is not a girl with an interest in jewels but I hope she gets the meaning from this gift.

"It's so pretty" my maid, Sarah said.

"Will she love it?" I asked her opinion.

"Of course, it's your selection" she said and I chuckled at her spontaneous reaction.

I took the other bag which contains my dress from Sarah. I bought a navy blue tube-like dress with one shoulder off and the other till my wrist. It would suit the Evening vibes of Today. I applied a little bit of makeup and light pink lipstick.

I took my straightener and straightened my bangs. I never go with messy bangs or undone hair. I always carry a mini comb to often brush my bangs till my eyebrows.

I heard a car horn sound and I know Jisoo is waiting for me. I looked at the mirror checking my outfit one last time. She will fall on her knees when she sees me. I went out giggling.

"What's so funny about being late?" Jisoo asked.

"How do I look?" I asked Jisoo blowing a kiss to her.

"You look like a Shrek" Jisoo said sticking her tongue out.

"Get out before I screw you!" I ran towards her holding my bag to hit her.

"Be safe, Lisa" Sarah said.

"I will be late Sarah, Take care of the house" I said over my shoulder even though I was running towards Jisoo.

"You annoying creature" I pinched Jisoo's ears getting into the car.

"If I hadn't called you Shrek, you wouldn't have made this quick to the car. Instead, you would have made a catwalk so that none of your bangs moves an inch out of its position" Jisoo laughed over her explanation.

"But You hurt my feelings" I wiped the fake tears.

"You know you look like an angel but still you expect me to give validation for it?" she asked starting the engine.

"But You're more pretty in this white frock" I complimented her.

"See? I didn't ask though you said out of your own will" she said.

"Enough, Turn on some music" I said diverting my concentration outside the window.

It took us more than an hour to reach Jennie's place since we both are visiting hers for the first time. We barely managed with the directions she gave earlier but still her location was way away from the city.
