MIA'S POV
'Please tell me you didn't see what just happened in there?' I ask the man in front of me with pleading eyes.
'Would you like me to tell you the truth or lie?' He chuckles, as I feel my checks turning red.
'Oh god!' I say turning away from him in embarrassment and looking back out at the skyline.
'I don't think he will help you. Tell me princessa what is your name?' He asks in a thick accent coming to stand next to me.
'Mia but you can just call me awkward.' I say trying to make a joke out of the embarrassing situation. 'Whats your name?'
'Pietro' He smiles putting out his hand I take it giving it a gently shake before letting go.
'You were in the coffee shop too weren't you?' I ask already knowing the answer but hoping I haven't done something stupid in front of this stranger twice in one day.
'Yes that was me, I wanted to ask your name then but you left so fast even faster than me.' He says with a chuckle.
'I don't like to hang around places when I make a fool out of myself.' I confess.
'I think that woman owned the shop I don't think I can go back.' I say biting my lower lip and shaking my head.
'No that's Lucy she doesn't own the shop.' He tells me brushing it off and looking out at the view.
I sigh feeling a little relieved by that hoping that I could go back when another staff member is working.
'Oh thank god that would have made it worse.' I say feeling a little better.
'Her mum owns it.' He quickly adds, I turn to him in shock.
Without thinking I go to hit his arm in annoyance only too hit the air where he used to stand. I look around confused as too where he went blinking a few times to make sure I'm not seeing things or going crazy.
'Over here princessa.' Pietro says while tapping my shoulder I jump back in shock nearly spilling my drink.
'How... you were... I swear ... how did you ... what happened.' I stare at him with wide eyes and confusion clearly written all over my face.
'I'm fast... very fast.' He says while vanishing from my sight I turn to see him sat across the balcony on a black and white outdoor sofa.
'That is incredible. I can't believe this is really. I've never seen super powers up close before! Does it hurt? How fast are you? Can you run on water? Do you have any other super powers?' I say trying to get the millions of questions I have out as I walk over and take a seat next to him.
Pietro leans back and stretches his arms out clearly enjoying how excited I am, evident by the huge grin he's wearing.
'To answer your questions it hurt in the beginning but not anymore, I'm very fast... supersonic speed. Yes I can run on water and no unless you count that if I vibrate fast enough I am practically invisible.' Pietro says very slowly enjoying how I am hanging on his every word.
'Anything else you want to know?' He asks while running a hand through his hair.
'Everything but I can't even think straight right now.' I stare at him in awe.
'Okay how about we ask each other five questions?' Hey says leaning forward. 'I'll go first, where are you from?'
'I was born in England but spent 16 years living all over the world I lived in France, Austria, Thailand, India, Canada, south Africa. My dad worked in the army so we moved around with him it was great, when I turned eighteen I had the choice to move with them again but I chose to go live in Italy for a job then I moved back to London. I moved to New York a week ago.' I explain as quickly as I can so I can ask him a question.
