It was a day just like any other, I was at the pool, swimming laps and trying not to be noticed. It took me a while to notice, but I was the only one there. I remember a strange boy coming up to me, the sun glared out his face and I couldn’t tell who he was. “I was supposed to close this place up 20 minutes ago, I hope you know that” he said to me. I asked him why he didn’t tell me and he replied “well, I see you here every day, you don’t go to school, and you don’t talk to anyone. I can tell that you don’t want to be noticed, but I noticed you. Anyway, I thought giving you a few extra minutes couldn’t do any harm. I usually do a few laps after I’ve closed everything, it helps me relax.” And with that, he was in the water swimming laps with me. We talked for hours, about swimming, music and everything. He was great. The next day when I got back, he was there again, glowing perfectly in the sun. I saw him again and again each day, and with each minute we grew closer and closer until the unthinkable happened, we kissed. I didn’t see him again after that day, but you could say that I liked him, a lot. I guess things just never turn out how you want them to.
