Let me just start off by saying, hi! I'm Bo, nice to meet you. All my life I've known I was different, not like other kids in my grade, I just didn't expect to be.. this.
Ever since i could walk my mom knew I wasn't normal. She reminded me of that. Every. Single. Day. She's the reason I cried myself to sleep every night.
Imagine how that must feel. I've also felt neglected and alone my whole life. Until I got that letter. But I'll get to that in a little while.
I woke up one day and did the same thing I did each morning, wake up, brush my teeth, shower and stare at myself at the mirror for a while and wonder what is wrong with me. But this day, it was different. I felt this shooting pain in the top of my ear and woke up screaming because of a nightmare that I had turned into a monster, and I felt the same exact feeling my mom gave me when she looked at me, like I really was a monster.
While brushing my teeth I looked in the mirror. I gasped. The toothbrush fell out of my hand, almost in slowmotion. My eyes were drawn to my ears. The top of my ear had turned into a point. I had.. elf ears? My eyes widened as I looked at myself disgustingly. I'm a monster, I'm a monster, I'm a monster, I repeated over and over again in my head.
