Ch. 28

Shōto's POV:

I stared at the man in front of me. He had piercings in his lower lip, eyebrow, nose as well as his ears. His hair, which I remembered being naturally the same crimson colour as Akatsuki's, was dyed black.

The longer I stared at him, the clearer the resemblance between Akatsuki and Tōya became. Both their eye- and hair colours were identical, for starters.

"I get it, okay? I am Tōya! I said it, so stop staring before I lose my fucking mind, Shō-chan!" Tōya admitted, calling me by my embarrassing childhood nickname as that was what he used to call me.

I ripped my gaze off him and finally started to grasp the situation I'd walked in on. I noticed Katsuki was sitting on the ground, his back against the wall and his hand covering his nape which looked like it was bleeding..?

I was quick to crouch down next to him, wondering why the hell I hadn't noticed until now. Katsuki and Akatsuki were my top priorities after all.

"Holy shit! What's with all this blood..?" I worriedly asked, and I noticed how his gaze traveled to Tōya for a split second, but that was enough time for me to see the hate in his eyes.

"Nii-sama... Did you bite Katsuki..?" I aggressively asked, glaring at him.

Tōya glanced over at the way shorter, golden haired man who curiously stroke his stubble. The omega who judging by scent was Tōya's mate, gestured for him to start talking.

"I did. I was only messing with him because he's my ex, though. He refused to let me bite him when we were together, so I guess I got pissed off at how he let someone else do it, at the thought of there being someone better than me. I took the opportunity and did what I never did back in the day; of course aware of that it wouldn't work no matter how dominant of an alpha I am. It's not like that dumb soulbond connecting me and Keigo would've let me re-mate anyway." Tōya explained, one certain part catching my attention.

Ex..?

Katsuki seemed to have realised something after Tōya mentioned the soulbond, so I kept my mouth shut for now.

"The soulbond... That's what made you cheat on me, wasn't it..?" Katsuki asked, a chuckle following.

Oh god.. my fiancé really had dated my older brother...

"Yeah. I was in the middle of telling you that when you sprinted for the door." Tōya replied.

Katsuki broke out laughing all of a sudden.

"That's-.. I see..." He paused. "Now everything makes fucking sense at least. If there's something I know today, it's the terrifying impact the soulbond has. I didn't listen even when you begged me to, and that was why you didn't chase after me, right?"

Tōya was silent, but nodded in reply, confirming Katsuki's theory.

The smaller man Tōya had referred to as "Keigo", clapped his hands together, breaking the awkward silence between the ex-couple.

"Um.. I'm sorry for causing you two to have such a horrible breakup. I still think I did the right thing by telling you directly, Bakugō, but I didn't know it would cause you to part under such awful circumstances.. I'm sorry for causing both of you so much pain..." Keigo apologised with a deep bow.

Both Katsuki and Tōya looked at him in surprise.

"Keigo... Raise your head. You're not at fault for anything. You did the right thing and stepped up to tell him when I avoided him like a coward. Thanks to you, Katsuki now has Shō-chan." Tōya explained, then teasingly ruffled Keigo's golden curls.
