Chapter 6

"No way...." I said. It was Rico, my childhood friend. "RICO???OMG! IS THIS REAL???" I was literally yelling at his face.

We were inseparable back when we were 6, but he had to moved away when he was 12. He had platinum blonde hair and perfect blue eyes.

"Wow, calm down Sky. Yeah, its me," he said. "OMG! I think I'm about to cut the earth into pieces if I was hallucinating. Anyway, what are you doing here??" I ask. "Umm, didn't your mother told you?" He said raising his eyebrow. "Tell me what?" I said completely confused. "I'm moving in next door, duh!" He said.

I widened my eyes and just hug him. REALLY???" I ask half yelling. "Oh gawd, yes. Now let me go," he said suffocated by my hug attack. I release him, we were staring at each other awkwardly. "Now what?" I said. "Eh, I don-. Wait, your mother invited us for diner, I almost forgot," he said.

I gave him a smirk and took his hand and dragged him to my house. I open the door and smelled pasta.YES. "MOM, I'M HOME!" I yelled. "Hurry up, honey. Go get changed, the new neighbour's coming for diner!" Mom yelled from the kitchen. I giggled, "She didn't know you were looking for me?" I ask Rico. He mouthed 'No'. "Wait in the living room, I'll go get change!" I said while running up stairs.

I took my white shirt and purple skirt, I put mascara so I look decent. I ran downstairs as I heard laughing from the living room. I entered the room and found Mom, Rico and his mother laughing.

"Hello?" I said. "Oh, honey. Come greet Mrs.Grier," mom said. I went to Rico's mother and offer her my hand, but instead she hug me. "Oh, Sky. Look you all grown up. You look gorgeous, I'm sure you already have a boyfriend now," she said happily. I was shocked and blushing real mad. "Um...no. I'm not in a relationship, " I said. "Oh well, that's a shame, " she said while eyeing Rico. Wtf. "I think the turkey is calling us. Shall we eat?" Mom said. Rico raised his right hand on the air and yelled "WE SHALL, TO THE KITCHEN!".

We ate in silence, once we were all done I ask Rico, "Where's your dad?". "He's still in work, he had to stay a little late for his first day," he replied.

We were all laughing at Rico's joke then his mother got up from her seat. "Rico, I think we should get going. It's laye already. Gigi thanks for the diner, it was lovely," she said. We all went to the front door. "Sky, would you please escort Rico around town tomorrow? His memory is a bit dull," Mrs.Grier ask. "Oh, it'll be my pleasure, " I said. "Thanks, dear," she replied. "Well, bye I guess? If you need anything we'll be right beside you," she said before leavening the front door, Mom followed her behind.

That left me with Rico. "So...umm, bye?" He said. "Yeah, its awesome tho that you're leaving beside me," I said smiling. He leaned forward, I thought he was gonna hug me, but instead he kissed my cheek. "Bye," he said while leaving the door.

I was left the standing in shocked. Instead of blushing, I felt guilty.
