It was a dream. A very realistic one.

Evelyn woke up with sweat of over her body. The police, the crazy man, her being dead-------It was all a dream. No, a nightmare.

Just as she were about to crawl out of her bed, Evelyn noticed something extremely, extremely peculiar. Her room, it looked almost the same, but there were a few things here and there that didn't belong to her, but that could be because of her hell of a room and she just cleaned it up yesterday, so unfamiliar things were likely. But that wasn't the most alarming part.

Everything looked... so 2D...

That's when it hit her. Was it all real? Rushing through the hallways of her so-called 'home', she didn't recognise any of the hallways, the decorations, the furniture, and so on and so forth. Yet it felt like that she had walked through here a million times before.

Reaching the bathroom, she stared into the reflection of the mirror. "This is all a dream. This is all a dream," Evelyn mumbled, trying to get a good grasp of her situation. Then she slapped herself.

Ouch, that must hurt.

Her once curly wheat-brown hair and gunmetal blue eyes were gone and in replacement was short and straight short black hair with sea green eyes. Her olive skin had magically turned paler, she looked more 2D, and her eyes were rather big to the point that she looked like an anime girl.

Before she could even scream, shout, or even say a word, everything stopped. The water droplets running down the tap stopped in mid-air, the voices around her dimmed, and the colours of all the objects around her started to monotone. The only things that were not affected were her and an oddly out-of-place...box?

An array of neon colours flashed towards her eyes, the text box appeared in thin air. Weird, but okay?

"Hi, my name is 05-39! I'll be your guide along the way of ĥ⨷⩆⩥⩖⨃⨃! Due to failure of not completing your 'life mission' the previous life, you were transferred here to find your Reason of life! Once you finish all your tasks, you shall be free to go to the Afterlife!"

--> Press 'A' to continue introduction

-->Press 'B' to skip introduction

Just then, a control panel containing different buttons, ranging from A to Z, 0 to 9, were next to the text box. Deciding to continue listening for any clues to get out of here, Evelyn wanted to press 'A' .

Note the word 'wanted'.

Due to 5% clumsiness and 95% of shock, she pressed the wrong button by accident: 'B'. So without even knowing what was going on, she skipped the intro and went directly to the 'mission' given to her.

"It seems that you should be capable of the first mission! The first is to fill in as a character in the story, Emiko Watanabe! More description is provided in the following letter!" And with that the text box disappeared, as though if nothing had happened.

"M-Mission? What kind of mission? Fill in as Emiko Watanabe? Who in the world is that?" Evelyn pondered before coming to a conclusion.

She was going to be Emiko Watanabe.

...

What was she back then?

Evelyn- or know Emiko, sweatdropped at the amount of posters of Oikawa she once had. It wasn't displayed proudly on her walls, but rather hidden in rolls in a cabinet under her bed. It clearly showed that she either was a secret fan of this Oikawa guy or she was hiding her posters from someone. No matter, she would just throw them away.

It might seem heartless for Evelyn to randomly throw things out of the original Emiko's room, but what must be done has to be done. She couldn't stand the posters filling up more space than her clothes.

After throwing away all the posters of the Oikawa dude, she went on to the next problem----- makeup.

Once she spotted the ridiculous numbers of makeup products, she feels like she doesn't like the previous Emiko all of a sudden. Had the original needed so much makeup products for one face? So after going through the war zone, she had emerged victorious. Clothes not needed and makeup not needed were all thrown out.

Emiko knew it was a Saturday, due to her phone's timing (the password was easy to decode- it was 1234, definitely needs to get a new one), and to the kitchen/ dining room for breakfast, or brunch.

As she walked down the stairs, the whole house was empty. Going to the kitchen to get some breakfast, she went across a note stuck on the refrigerator.

Dear Emiko-chan,

I'm so sorry. You father and I have a business trip overseas for a few months. We can't attend your birthday but we left you a cake and the birthday presents we selected for you. If you miss us, you are free to call us anytime:) Remember the drill, close the door at all times, and if you are in any danger, call the emergency hotline. The cake is in the fridge, and the presents are in our room. We wish you a happy birthday!

From,

Mom

Evelyn/ Emiko POV:

Seems like 'Mom's' nice. But the better news is, I don't have to tell them anything if I act abnormal if they aren't here!

As I sit in front of the TV in the living room with my brunch in tow (yeah, I usually eat in the living room), I began to go to Google to find out the most important detail: Finding where in the f***ing world I was.

Turns out I was in Miyagi, which was... erm, I'm not so sure, but definitely far away from America. Also learnt tons of other things I would've thought I could never do. I could speak and write Japanese, which I found out after a package was sent to my house. It's like automatically having a Google Translate inside your body, but it comes to you rather naturally.

I found out that I was in Karasuno High School, and since I already have my uniform (I think), I was probably ready. Judging by my young appearance and as I'm in high school, I'm most likely a first year there.

Yeah, great detective skills.

"Considering this is an anime, I should be able to make friends easily! Yeah, easily..." I boasted, then realising my social skills... weren't exactly top-notch. But with the power of anime logic, it should be okay, right?
