when peter, your best friend learns from his dad ian that you died. peter was in the pub across the street from his house when suddenly the door opened and in walked ian, who was on the verge of tears. since ian didn't look like he was going to talk, peter asked him first.
"what is it?"
"not here. come home son."
without hesitation, peter took his father's outstretched hand and slowly walked out of the pub. when peter and ian finally exited the pub, peter asked him what happened.
"dad. dad, what is it? why can't you just tell me? dad, no just what is it? what is it?"
through his sobs, ian managed to say something, "it's y/n!"
"no. no, don't say it. don't say it. please don't say it."
at that, ian starts sobbing and tells peter the bad news.
"she's gone!" ian cries.
"she's gone?"
"oh, i'm sorry peter!"
with that revealed, peter starts crying and shouting. when ian goes in to hug him, peter at first resists the hug but after a couple of minutes lets his father hug him. both father and son were crying into each others arms, but they were crying for different reasons. ian was crying because you were like the daughter he never had and peter was heartbroken because he never got the chance to tell you his feelings. now, he never would get to love you like he wanted to.
