Chapter 3: Regrets and Contemplation

"Naruto.. We need to go to your baa-chan Tsunade now. If we don't we're gonna be stuck together forever."

Shikamaru's POV

Walking up with the piercing silence with the blonde by my side to the hokage's office, I was anxious mixed with emotional inside hyperventilation.

My sight darted towards the red string locking on it's glowing vibrance.

As we reached the hokage's office, both I and Naruto extended our hands for the doorknob, surprising both of us.

Naruto's rough, wounded hand stroked the dorsal (Back) of my hand as we stood there silent before giving eachother the look of embarrassment towards each other.

Having a huge kept emotion I slipped my hand away from the door knob while concealing my emotions.

"Just open the door.." Turning my head away, I could only feel Naruto's coated dejection.

Naruto turned the knob and stepped inside, following behind him we were faced with a quite exasperated welcome.

"I told you to bring Shikamaru here early Naruto. What do you think is the time now!"

"Ne, ne! Baa-chan, don't talk to me like it was my fault when clearly this pineapple right here took too long to bathe. -Ttebayo."

I glared at Naruto wanting to fiddle with his blonde hair and drown him using a water style technique. He's really testing my patience.

"You're the one to talk bakayaro." Naruto glared at me back giving the exact irritated expression as I did.

Tsunade-sama slammed one fist at the table interrupting our childish bicker. "Enough you two! Why were you late exactly? You were never late Shikamaru."

Explaining what happened this morning, leaving the degrading moments to be kept in secret.

"So yeah you see.. We're pretty much stuck and I think I might just know what this is."

"Eh? You know what this is but you didn't tell me right away?" Naruto's face was written in confusion, eyebrows perked, lips in a pouted form and eyes not visible.

"Kekke Genkai? How is that possible? The genkai only uses elements." Tsunade-sama reached her hand returning to the habit she adapted (biting her nails) while Naruto was still stood next to me with an unknowing face.

"Long ago, it was believed that if you had mixed all elements all at once you might get the power that may cause destruction, or peace.

Thus, they did try and experiment on it and the result didn't fascinate or reached any of their expectations, for them all of their experiments failed which was he reason they deduced it to only a 'keke genkai'.

At first, the researchers tried everything to bring the experiments power out but nobody has showed any signs of power until one day one person has binded two people with a red string resonating both from their chests emotional chakra strings in exhanged for their life.

But even after figuring this out nobody saw the true potential of the bindings so they have decided this to be a forbidden genkai from across the years and had formed a clan together which had soon died out.

Nobody knows the true reason behind the clans death. Somebody said it was because of Madara Uchiha, or someone had unlocked the true potential of the elements and went wild destroying the village of their clan and soon enough slaughtering the people."

"So that kid.. Gave his own life.. Just to bind us? What will happen to us now then?" Naruto's gazed was directly pointed at the string ad I watch the blonde's ocean eyes turned dark on hue.

"I don't know..."
