Vote? :)

Zak had just ended his stream and was planning on going to sleep. Him and Darryl were supposed to record something for christmas so the two men would be able to relax. So Zak needed to make sure he had enough energy for tomorrow.

He hears his phone vibrate from his nightstand, and in bold letters, he immediately recognizes Bads contact. Zak picks up his phone wondering what Darryl could be texting him for. He had told Zak that he was spending time with his family.

Darryl <3
Hey Zak, can you get on teamspeak real quick?
10:00 PM

That's strange, I thought Darryl was with family.

Zak :)
Yeah, give me a sec
10:01 PM

Logging back onto teamspeak, Zak sees Darryls icon light up green, and in less than a second, Zak's monitor pings! And he joins the call, anticipating what his friend will have to say.

¨What's wrong Darryl? I thought you were supposed to be with family right now-¨

¨How would you feel about coming to live with me?¨

The call goes silent. Zak can hear Darryls breathing through his headphones. It makes Zak feel like his friend is right next to him. It makes his stomach twist into a knot.

¨What- what did you say?¨
Zak couldn't think, and especially not with the question he had just heard.

¨Never- nevermind.....it was a stupid question to ask and- and I shouldnt have said it-¨

¨That's not what I asked Darryl¨ replied Zak, trying to be clear with his words. He knew communication was never one of Darryls strong-suits. But Zak really needed to make sure he had heard him right.

¨Sorry¨

¨Well.....can you tell me what's going on? Did you really mean what you said? Are you actually asking me about this?¨

¨Zak I'm not one to usually pull pranks, am I?¨

¨No- no of course not.¨

¨Then listen to what i'm saying please. I am asking you if you would like to come live with me.¨

Communication isn't as hard for Darryl as Zak had thought.

Or maybe it was the fact Darryl was so done not being able to just communicate with Zak like he wanted to. He wanted to be able to tell Zak the way he thought, especially the way he thought about him. He yearned for the chance to be able to wrap his arms around his loud and go-getting best friend and be able to shut him up.

Darryl always thought he talked too much, but maybe it was because the longer Zaks rants got, the more he would focus on the sound of his voice flowing through his headphones and not the words he was saying.

"Are you sure Darryl? I mean I don't want to cause any trouble."

"You never are any trouble for me. I would never see you as a problem."

Zaks cheeks bloom a bright pink, being caught off-guard like this wasn't something that happened a lot in conversations with Darryl. But there is always a first time for everything.

¨Well in that case, yeah, I would love to move in with you.¨

Zak could practically hear the smile in Darryls voice.

¨Alrighty, when do you think you should fly out here? Maybe the week before Christmas?¨

¨Yeah, that works.¨
