No. 13 | Heartbreak Anniversary

"So what was the inspiration behind this single?"

The host of the interview asked me. He was wondering about my new song, Heartbreak Anniversary I recently released.

"Well, you guys may not know but I got out of a very long relationship a few weeks ago." I began.

"If you listen and really try hard to understand the lyrics they're pretty straight forward I'd say, especially the title. I've noticed that that's what really makes people go crazy and be like, 'woah who would think of something like that.' Ya know?" I spoke louder than before.

"Would you like to explain the title for people who may not understand?" The host asked me politely.

"Sure. So basically heartbreak anniversary is supposed to kinda symbolize the day you broke up with your significant other. Like a wedding anniversary or something but with a complete 180 twist on it." I explained.

He smiled back at me and just looked at my face for a few minutes before clearing his throat and going on to the next question, "Now, you said that you just got out of a very long relationship, right?" He confirmed.

I nodded my head and waited for him to continue, "How long was the relationship and who was it with if you don't mind us asking?"

He hesitated with his question so I could tell the next conversation that was about to spark up would be nothing but awkward.

"The relationship lasted 5 and a half years-"

"Holy fu- umm. That's quite the long time being with someone without any marriage being involved." He commented.

I nodded my head and took a few deep breaths before continuing, "The relationship was between myself and a fellow YouTuber that a lot of people know nowadays-"

"Can we get info on who this YouTuber is?" He asked hesitantly.

I took a few more slow and deep breaths because i knew if I didn't I would be bawling my eyes out soon, "Corpse Husband. I don't know if you guys know-"

He interrupted me once again, "Holy shit! No way? We all know who he is. He's amazing. We held a phone call interview with him this morning and he talked about the same thing." He explained happily.

"Oh." I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.

"He didn't want to go too far into detail because he said he would start crying. But we're glad you did. Now it all makes much more sense as to why he avoided speaking about your new single...."

I jerked my head in his direction and furrowed my brows, "You guys asked him about my new single?" I questioned.

"Yea. We wanted to know his opinion on it because of all the dating rumors between the both of you throughout the years and because everyone knows how much of a fan he is of your music." He explained himself.

I went to say something else but my manager stopped me and told me that I had to go due to a serious event that just took place in my personal life.

"What event-" I went to ask her but she just simply cut me off and took me back to the van we always rode in.

"Why are we-"

"Because I could tell you were getting more and more uncomfortable with his questions as he went on." She finally explained.

"Also Haneul needs you at the studio." She added on.

I nodded my head and messaged the woman in question.
