When Emily got up she noticed JJ still asleep on her chest and that view made her smile, then she decided to go and make something to eat. She moved slowly to let JJ sleep and headed to the kitchen. She started making some pancakes, then she turned on the coffee machine before starting to cook some eggs and bacon. When everything was ready she put the food on a tray and went back in the bedroom. She sat near JJ and kissed her on the forehead trying to wake her up.

"Hmm, morning." the blonde said while crawling to cuddle Emily.

"Good morning sleepy head." she smiled and leant to kiss her. "Did you sleep well?"

"Yea, I wanna sleep like that every night."

"It's something we could do." answered Emily and she took the tray with their breakfast. "I made you something."

Jennifer smiled and took a bite from a pancake before putting her head on Emily's shoulder.

"JJ can I ask you something?" Emily asked with a cup of coffee in her hands.

"Yea, sure."

"Well... you were dating Will... so, I was wonderi-" she said, but before she could've said more JJ kissed her and nodded her head.

"To be honest, after two dates I was already tired and I told him that. He can't stop trying to go out again tho. But don't worry, I can handle him and especially I want you."

Emily took a sigh of relief and smiled, before kissing her again. "I'm sorry, I just can't believe we're here, together."

Then her phone rang and she saw Hotch's name on the screen. "Prentiss. Hotch what happened? Yea, we're leaving." she said and got up to change her clothes. "He said it's important, but I don't know what's happening."

JJ looked at her concerned then she changed her clothes and they left the house.

When they arrived everyone stared at them and they looked at Hotch with a confused expression; he told JJ to follow him in his office.

"JJ, someone left this on your desk. We don't know how and when, but it was already open and I suspect that who left it wanted everyone to see what's inside." Hotch said, he was nervous but he didn't show it, he knew something was wrong.
JJ took a look at the parcel and her jaw dropped. She looked at Hotch and nodded her head. "What does it mean?! And who the fuck did this?!"

Everyone outside heard JJ screaming and Emily ran to Hotch's office.

"What's going on?" she asked looking at them, then she tried to see what was inside the package but JJ moved it.

"Nothing Em, it's fine."

"She needs to know, I want the team to investigate." Hotch said and JJ sighed, handing it to Emily.

It was a picture of JJ with a red cross on her face and it said "you should pay attention", then she looked at Hotch that was getting a blonde doll with a bullet on the head out of the box. She was shocked, she had to sit and take a deep breath.

"I don't understand... What does it mean? She's in danger Hotch." Emily said concerned while the rest of the team was approaching the door.

"Hotch what happened?" Morgan asked while entering the office. "What the fuck?"

Meanwhile JJ was standing there in silence with her eyes filled with tears. Then she passed out.

When she woke up she saw Emily and Penelope sitting on the chairs near the couch.

"Hey sweetie, how are you?" Garcia asked and both of them sat near the blonde.

"I'm ok... What happened?" she asked rubbing her own eyes.

"Nothing, you blacked out when we were talking about the parcel. The others are already working the case, you should rest."

Then Emily took her hand and kissed her forehead closing her eyes. "I promise we will catch whoever did that. I won't let anything happen to you."
JJ hugged her and kissed her, then she got up from the couch.

"I won't stay here and do nothing, I'll help you."

They joined the rest of the team in the conference room and began to investigate. After two hours Emily went to grab some coffee and JJ followed her.

"Hey gorgeous." she said and gave JJ a cup. "Are you ok?"

"Yea... I'm just confused. And to be honest I'm scared." the blonde said and put her head on Emily's shoulder.

Emily hugged her and caressed her hair. « I must do something. My job is to protect her. »

"Em?"

"Yeah?"

"Will you stay by my side?" JJ asked and the other woman noticed her voice breaking, so she hugged her tighter then she kissed her.

"JJ I'll always be by your side, I promise. I won't let anyone hurt you and I will protect you from everything. Trust me, we will catch whoever is responsible."

JJ didn't answer, but she kissed the woman and Emily already knew everything the blonde wanted to say; a kiss was enough to understand. Jennifer felt safe in her arms.

« Who did this to her? I can't look at her and see how scared she is. When we find him they'll probably need to stop me, 'cause I'd kill him.»

"Em you can go, I'm going to the restroom then I'll catch up with you." JJ said then kissed Emily on her cheek and went down the hallway while Emily headed back to the conference room.

"So what did you find?"

"We looked at the security cameras but there's nothing. I mean, someone must've hacked the system and put on a loop because at some point there's a bug and the footage comes back to normal." Garcia pressed play on her computer and showed the the clip.

"Ok we need to understand how he managed to enter the building, he must've known where and when there were the security guards." Hotch said while Morgan was analyzing again the parcel.

"Emily where's JJ?" Reid asked after 10 minutes and she looked at him in silence. She was in the bathroom but why did it take so long? She didn't say a word and ran to the bathroom but the door was locked.

"JJ?! Are you in there?" she screamed and when she realized that no one was there she kicked the door finding an empty room. She panicked and opened ever stall but JJ wasn't there. She went back to the hallway and began to ask if someone saw her.

« Ok Emily calm down. Maybe she's back in the conference room, nothing bad happened. » she said to herself while walking to the room. JJ wasn't there.

"Fuck." she said hitting the table.

"Language kiddo." Rossi said but then he realized that Emily was crying.

"She's nowhere to be found."

Everyone looked at her then Morgan and Hotch ran out of the room and began to look for her while Garcia was checking the security cameras. Emily sat there in silence, biting her nails.

"We'll find her, she's gonna be ok I promise babe." Garcia said and put one hand on hers. "I promise." she said then she hugged her.

"Guys..." Reid entered the room with a note on his hands. Emily got up quickly and ran to him. "It says 'it's too late, your bitch is in good hands now', it was in the bathroom."

In that moment, Garcia went straight to Emily and hugged her.
