Two Years Later
Kotor, Montenegro
Breaking the surface, I took a large gulp of the fresh sea air. The cool water of the pool was a heavenly change after the time I'd spent in the sun. Swimming to the edge, I picked up my glass, taking a long sip of the sweet and fruity, tropical juice as I watched the sun sinking lower in the sky, almost disappearing behind the mountains on the other side of the ocean. No matter how many days I spent watching the scene before me, I'd never grow tired of the stunning view from our home.
"You want to be careful you don't get a chill." Dash called, stepping outside.
"A chill, in this heat? Don't be so dramatic." I laughed, still sure that my temperature must have been a billion degrees or more after such a warm afternoon.
I watched him approach, allowing my eyes to wander over the incredibly sexy, half naked, body of the man I loved, drinking him in and biting my lip as he got closer. I ached for him, it had been an entire day and I was already impatient to have alone time again.
"What's going through that head of yours?" He smirked, stopping in front of me.
"All kinds of naughty things." I teased.
"Is that so?" He asked, arching a brow and crouching down, dropping into the water beside me with a splash, before capturing me in his arms and tugging me closer, his lips hovering barely an inch away from mine. "Do tell."
"I'd rather show you." I smirked, closing the space between us and kissing him, playfully nipping his bottom lip whilst my arms snaked around his neck. I was getting carried away by my own simmering desire, when we were interrupted by an overexaggerated cough.
"Really? Every damn time!"
We broke apart, laughing at Sage's melodramatic scolding.
"You two will have an entire litter if you don't cut that out." She sniped, gesturing between us at my sizable baby bump. "That's numbers two and three growing in there already! Make some room for Jesus you horny fuckers."
"Whoa!!! Not in front of the b-a-b-y!" Luke chimed in walking out of the living room carrying the giggling and squirming form of our nine month old daughter, Neela.
Laughing softly, Dash led me out of the pool, wrapping me in a towel as we padded across the soft grass to where the others were taking seats on the loungers.
"Hello, Princess." He cooed, scooping Neela up out of his brother's arms and lifting her up in the air.
"Gees Dash, she's not a trophy." Sage sighed, becoming increasingly interested in the fruit platter at her side.
"Wow, those mood swings are really coming along well." Dash teased.
Luke made a cut throat motion from his place behind his wife, signalling for his brother's instant silence.
"What mood swings? I'm not having mood swings." Sage shrugged, selecting a strawberry and biting into it, her hand moving to her own bump, and softly rubbing circles against her stomach. "Am I Luke?" She asked, putting him on the spot as she rounded on him.
"Of course not, honey." He squeaked.
Laughing at the unbelievable tone of his reply, I laid back on the lounger, holding my hands out to accept my daughter from her father, and sitting her against my legs.
With Sage and Luke only living a few minutes away, we often spent evenings like this, and I loved every moment of them. After we'd fled LA, we went back to England, where we laid Dayanara to rest. With her home and among family, we stayed in the country for a few weeks under the radar, thanks to Duncan who had been determined to try making things up to his sons. And when it was safe to travel again, we came here and set up home along the gorgeous coastline of Montenegro.
