The gaping, window-d door closed behind us, making the wind move my hair.
"Make sure to look everywhere." Kou said, referring to the Yorishiro. I nodded, walking through the water when I kicked something.
I looked down to see a shape. Something that looked like.
Oh my god is that a floating head?
I looked away in sudden disgust, walking away, and I noticed it fell off the waterfall.
I listened gently for it to land, but there was nothing. Blinking, I realized how far up we are.
"Woah! What is that?" Kou yelled out, pointing towards a chair that was currently sat on by a mound. I recognized the things we've gathered, all assembled.
"It looks like all the things we've gathered."
"Creeepy." Hanako drew out, and I nodded in agreement, looking at the face. "Uh, is there a reason you grabbed such a weird leg?"
"You just told me to grab a random one! You never told me we had to match them!"
"Will you two stop arguing for once in your life!" I gritted, walking forward. I didn't hear a reply, so I didn't stop. I looked right at the figure that was walking towards us.
"Finally."
That sounded like the voice from the phone calls..
I looked forward to see a tall lady wearing a long, white and red flowered kimono. She had bright, calm green hair which was tied up.
"Nice to meet you." She said, looking right at me.
Is that Misaki? She's so pretty, but how? Isn't she supposed to be all broken up into pieces.
She gasped and ran up towards the figure we created, looking at it.
"Look, we can explain! I know how this looks, but I promise we tried!" Kou yelled out.
She turned around to look at up.
"Well. It's a wonderful body!!" She chirped, a smile on her face.
"So does that mean you like it?" I asked, and she came up towards me, shaking my hand.
"Oh I was in a terrible bind, I was. I didn't know what a human body was supposed to look like! Even though I've seen one before. But something inside me knew that asking another human to help was the right think to do!" She chirped, her voice soft as she shook my hand with excitement. I could tell she was genuinely thankful, even though what we created was a monstrosity.
"Of course." I grinned, feeling slightly bad for Misaki.
"This body is nothing like the ones I've created. Which is why I'm sure it's going to work." She said, looking at the mound. "Right, Misaki?"
