"I'll do it."

That was the thing that forced me to stay a few hours after school ended. I was just at my club. We were really just talking when Lee, one of the quieter members, said she needed to get home, but she was organizing papers. Me, being the generous person I was, offered to take her place in the organization.

She smiled, said thank you, and quickly exited the room. Now there weren't a lot of people in the room originally, but soon the room became completely quiet with no-one but me in the room.

I realized half way that the sky was already a burnt orange, and that I wouldn't be done until the sky is dark.

I sighed, taking the work while knowing the consequences.

It was silent for the next hour before I heard footsteps walking down the hall.

I turn my head, looking out the open door, having my body send a quick shiver down my spine before regaining confidence. There stood a body, the sky radiating his golden eyes that, when they saw me, were laced with confusion and panic. His hair was softly lit to a brown color in the light, and I saw a gentle brush of pink on his cheeks.

There, in the hallway, was Yugi Amane, one of the third years, a year younger than me. He looked surprised to see me.

"Hello?" I say gently, grabbing his attention.

"H-hi? I'm sorry. I didn't know anyone was in here today.. I- sorry.. I'll be. Going?" He stuttered out, pointing behind him. From what I know, he usually didn't act like this, but I found in front of me, he becomes so flustered.

I smiled, leaning up in my chair. "No no, please, don't let me stop you from doing what you were doing. What ever that is."

He shuffled where he stood, before walking over to the other side of my table I sat at. He didn't say a word, but I saw him flash a few glances at me when he thought I wasn't looking.

"So. What are you doing?" I said, not looking up from my pile of papers.

"Oh uh... this is going to sound really lame.."

I glance up at him to see him looking out the window. His face was covered in a light red. I scoffed, smiling at him.

"Please. If anything is lame, it should be me."

"You're not lame!" He retorted at me, looking straight into my eyes. When he saw my face, his own became red. "S-sorry.."

"You never answered my question, Yugi."

"R-Right. Uh.. every day.. I would go in here and.. uh.. study the stars.. l-lame.. I know.." he mumbled the last part, looking back out the window.

"I don't think that's lame, Yugi. I think that's nice. Cute, even."

"C-cute?"

I smiled, looking into his dilated eyes. "Yeah. Cute. Stars are a beautiful sight. To study them is always something I wanted to do, but I've never had the time or the information to start."

"I.. I can teach you about them! I know a lot about stars." He suggested, and I watched as he became cutely excited.

"Really? That would be nice! Thanks, Yugi!"

"Y-yeah, you're welcome."

Days past, and every day I would find myself talking more and more with Yugi. I'd meet up with him, and he'd talk to me about the stars. He'll even, while walking, tell me which cloud overhung the crisp blue sky.

I made him feel comfortable, but also make his chest blossom every time a word came out of my mouth.

He's always had a crush on me, ever since he's seen rumors about a new girl in third year while he was in second. He's finally noticed me in the halls, and he saw me laugh, and crack jokes at my friends. Something in his heart sparked, and he felt in his body that he loved me.

Seeing me in his place that he would always be alone in sent a shock of panic, and he couldn't handle that. "The girl I had a crush on was in my classroom? Oh shit."

A month passed, and Yugi became one of my closest friends. I would be the one to cover and help him out with his wounds. He never told me where he gets them, but I don't press on further. He's already in pain, I don't want his trusted friend to be pressing into his life. He will tell me when it's time.

"Hey, Amane."

I looked up from where I stood in the dark classroom. My heart fluttered. In the door frame was Kusari Koi, leaning there. Her long orange hair covered her shoulders, and her bright green eyes sparkled with happiness.

"H-hey Kusari. Okay, so! I have something to tell you." I said, an exciting smile on my face.

She looked up, the moon shimmering in her perfectly light green eyes. "Yeah? what is it?"

"Alright! So you know how I said that space travel was starting?"

"Yeah?"

"They just released to the news that Apollo 8 was just sent into orbit!!" I laughed in excitement. "We are so close to landing on the moon. I just feel it."

A wide smile was on Kusari's face, and a light dust of pink was there as well. "I'm so excited! What do you think they're going to find up there?"

"I don't know? That's what's so exciting about it! It's so new and unknown! The feeling of knowing something, that was unknown, for the first time and being able to discover it in our lifetime is absolutely extraordinary!"

I heard a little giggle, and I look down from where I was standing to see Kusari looking up at me with a little dreamy smile. Her eyes were gently gazing at me, and she had her head in her palm.

"Amane?"

I blushed. She said my name so, dreamily? "Y-Yes?" I spoke out fast, suddenly flustered.

"You do know I could listen to you talk forever, right?"

"What? W-what do you mean?"

"They way you get so excited about something you like. It's adorable. Actually, heh. You're adorable."

I froze from where I was standing, my eyes wide, and my face was extremely warm. "Hu-Huh?"

She stood up and looked out at the sky. Her eyes widened. "Look! You can see mars from here! Do you think we'll ever get to Mars, Amane?"

I was silent, my mind was racing, and so was my heart, and she just dismissed it. What a tease!! She turned back to me, a light, cocky smile on her face.

"Amane?"

"Huh? Oh! What did you ask?"

She giggled before pointing out the window. "Do you think we'll ever get to Mars?"

I went over and leaned on the railing, looking into the classroom. "I mean. Once we get to the moon, sure. But first, we have to get to the moon."

She sighed. "Yeah. Baby steps. First the moon, then we conquer all of the Milky Way!" She said with a determined smile. I smile with her, it being so contagious.

"Yeah! To conquering the Milky Way!!" I shout, holding up my fist. She saw and gently hit my fist with hers.

"To conquering the Milky Way!"
