You are the daughter of Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow. You are also mildly autistic. What happens when you are paired with Wanda Maximoff to play Monopoly. Will you panic and run to your room or suck it up and attempt to communicate with her?

A/N - I based this entirely on myself. I am on the autism spectrum but I don't have as bad as some people I know so I am one of the lucky ones. But I do hate starting convos with people I don't know and not keen on physical contact either. Eye contact can even be a struggle sometimes. Also, apologies if it's not completely accurate, like I say, I am basing it on my own autism symptoms. I also feel like there needs to be more autistic!reader stories out there.

Tonight, is one of the worst nights of the week. Family game night. It means being surrounded by a group of people which is by far the most terrifying thing. Currently, I am surrounded by my mother (Natasha Romanoff), Tony Stark, Thor, Clint Barton, Steve Rogers, Banner and the Maximoff twins, oh and Peter Parker. I wouldn't have minded if it wasn't a game that didn't require talking or eye contact but Monopoly was voted so that is what we are playing and the worst part is, we have to partner up with someone.

As usual, Tony and Steve are paired up. My mom and Clint are paired up. Thor and Banner pair up as does Peter with Pietro Maximoff which is unusual since the twins are usually paired together. That leaves me to be paired with Wanda. One may think since living with the Avengers you would know them really well. Not me. Like I said, I prefer to keep to myself. But I have always wondered about Wanda and her telepathic abilities. I just hope if there's going to be any conversation, which there probably will be, she is the one to initiate it since I hate starting conversations with someone I barely know. One other thing you should know about me; I hate any form of physical contact.

Anyway, when the game starts, Wanda asks me, "Which piece shall we be?" At first, I don't want to answer, I don't usually talk in a big group on game nights so I was surprised with myself when I responded, "The Golden Snitch." It was quiet and I wasn't sure if she heard but she must have because she said to the others, we wanted to be the Golden Snitch. When she placed the dog on 'go', she turned to me with a friendly smile. I still refuse to meet her gaze but I saw just from the corner of my eye and I smiled slightly too. As small as it seems, this is a huge step for me. I then look over at my mom to see she looks pleased with the small interaction too.

The game finally starts, for anyone wondering, we are playing the Harry Potter version. Everyone here loves Harry Potter. At least I think they do. Anyway, after everyone has gone round the board at least once, me and Wanda are the first so we buy the first colour. Another rule we added as our own is that once a colour is bought, no one else can buy that colour. It makes it fairer then and less chance of the place being destroyed. I think it's pretty obvious who would destroy the place if they lost.

An hour later and me and Wanda are surprisingly winning. Peter and Pietro are out as are my mom and Clint. Thor and Banner look like they could be out next turn if all goes according to plan. Tony and Steve are out next and it's amusing that Tony is a sore loser but I manage to hide my amusement. Eventually Thor and Banner are indeed out which means me and Wanda win the game. Usually, when we play a game that involves conversation, I try to be out near the beginning deliberately, but something about being paired with Wanda made me want to continue playing.

Once the game is put away, Wanda says to me, "We actually make a good team. I should pair up with you more often for game night." For the first time, I actually look at her eye to eye and smile. "And if you don't mind, I would like to get to know you." I raise my eyebrow slightly. No one has ever said that to me. And for the second time that night, I respond to her, "Sure." (We mostly communicated with yes or no questions. She like everyone else must know I'm not big on talking in a big group).

After that, everyone finally retreated to their rooms. The only ones still in the living area was me and my mom. "You know, that's the most I've ever seen you be sociable on family game night. I'm proud you actually managed to get some sort of a conversation in with Wanda, even if it wasn't for very long." Maybe getting to know Wanda wouldn't be such a bad idea. Would be nice to actually have a friend.

Ending this one here. Let me know what you thought. I will do a second part if it is voted on at least five times. REQUESTS ARE STILL OPEN! I would appreciate any requests as long as it is not a song fic. Anyways, don't forget to VOTE! :)
