You have another life changing decision to make but don't know whether to go through with it. You want to propose to Wanda. Will the spirit fox from your coma who comes to the real world help you with that decision? (NOT PROOF READ JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE!)
A few weeks has passed since I woke up from that coma after being stabbed by a hydra agent. Since then, me and Wanda have actually been doing those things normal couples do. We've been camping and to the beach. But that is not what is bothering me. What I've been pondering for a while is a huge life changing decision. One I am struggling to deal with. I want to propose to Wanda, but I don't know what way to go about it or if she'll even want that.
I sit by a tree just outside the Avengers tower considering all my options. However, nothing comes to mind, and I keep struggling for ideas on how to go around it. Then, a red fox appears in front of me. Odd. I didn't hear anyone or anything moving around. It couldn't have just magically appeared in front me, could it? Nah, surely not. "Y/n l/n. It seems you have another life changing decision to make." My eyes widened and I looked around to see who else was around. No one was but the fox's mouth didn't move so it could not have been the fox that spoke.
"Y/n l/n. I told you I'd always be close when you have to make life changing decisions. You have one to make now so I am here. And yes, I am the fox that is talking... telepathically." A telepathically communicating fox? Now I've seen everything. "When we spoke in your coma, what was the reason for coming back here instead of moving on?" I locked eyes with the spirit fox. I immediately know the answer. "Easy. Wanda." "Very good. And what was her reaction when you woke from that coma?" "She was happy and relieved mostly, I guess. But what's that got to do with anything?" "Think about it. That girl waited a whole month for you. Surely that's enough for you to decide if you want to propose to Wanda." And just like that, the fox is gone... as though he was never there.
All those points he made are very valid. Why didn't I think of them? It sounds obvious now that he has said it. And he is right about Wanda waiting a whole month for me even though there was a chance I might not have made it. But still, she might not want or agree with marriage. This is where I am stumped. I don't want the chance of being rejected.
The fox reappears. "Have you made a decision y/n l/n?" "I'm not sure. At the same time, I want to go ahead with it but at the same time I'm afraid of being rejected." "Ah, but if you never give it a chance, you will live forever not knowing if she would accept or reject you. That's worse than being rejected if you ask me. At least then you will have an answer." He's right. I sigh. Alright. I know what I am going to do. It's a good thing I'm going ahead with it. I pull out the ring I already bought. This is just fear playing on my mind. I need to stop procrastinating.
Carefully placing the ring back in my pocket, Wanda suddenly teleported herself in front of me causing me to jump. "Hey y/n. What are you doing out here? I've been searching for you." "Oh. Sorry. I just needed to clear my head." "What's wrong?" She questions worriedly. "Nothing. Nothing." Then I realised the fox has vanished again. I guess I'll just have to keep a look out for a fox if I ever have to answer life's toughest questions. And I know he'll be there.
"Seriously y/n, what's wrong? It's not like you to blow off our plans." Well, it's now or never. I grabbed her hand and pulled her down to sit next to me. I don't think she was expecting that. "I've just had a lot on my mind lately." "Such as?" She asks in a concerned tone raising her eyebrow. "How much I love you." She smiles and kisses my cheek. "But why would that lead you to blow off our plans?" "Because of this..."
While she remains sat down leaning against the tree, I kneel down and pull out the box with the ring. "Wanda, you know I love you more than anything and I still can't believe you waited a whole month practically for me to come out of my coma even though there was a chance I wouldn't. That's all the confirmation I need for me to go ahead and ask... Wanda Maximoff, will you marry me?"
I begin to get worried when there's no response from her. Then, like a flash of lightning she pulls me to the ground and into a bone crushing hug and starts kissing my face all over. When, I finally see her face again, the only expression is happiness. "So, is that a yes?" "Yes!" She exclaims happily before kissing my on my lips passionately. Damn, I'm glad I listened to my spirit fox. If I ever need advice on life changing things, I can't wait to see him again.
