Sykunno and Corpse walked into the actual garage. Sykunno hopped into a sleek black car with tinted windows after grabbing the pair of keys from the folder. Sykunno started the car. "Get in!" he yelled to Corpse. "The target is going to be transported out tomorrow, so we'd better get this over with by today."
Corpse hopped into the passenger seat. "Why didn't you bring a sniper too?" Corpse said, glancing at the new weapon Micheal got him.
"Isn't my mission." Sykunno explained as he drove out of the garage. "It's your orientation. They want to see what you're capable of, so why would they want me carrying you in the job."
"You? Carrying me?" Corpse remembered Sykunno's graveyard. "Actually, forget that."
"Anyways, it's not like I'm going defenseless." Sykunno said, pulling out a pistol from his inner jacket pocket.
"Could you rebrief me about this mission. I didn't get to finish reading the paperwork." Corpse said.
Sykunno tossed the folder to Corpse. "Pretty simple mission." Sykunno said. "A couple of witnesses to one of our assassinations went to the police. We're here to take them out before they pose a threat to the cartel." Sykunno pointed to a house that they were passing by. "They're housed over there."
"So that's it?" Corpse asked. "We just walk in, shoot a couple of guys and walk out?"
"Preferably not." Sykunno replied. "Do you know how much more dangerous that'd be? They probably have a bunch of guards. We'd much rather snipe them from afar." Sykunno parked the car a few blocks away from the house. "There's an apartment building nearby. We're going to scale it and scout the place out."
Corpse and Sykunno walked up the stairs of the apartment building, and Sykunno pulled out a pair of binoculars. "I don't see much...wait! That's one of the targets, in the top-left window! Maybe you could..." Sykunno glanced at Corpse.
Corpse took out the disassembled sniper from his briefcase and reassembled it. "Got it." Corpse said.
Bang
Sykunno took another glance in his binoculars. Corpse had shot the man through the neck. "Oh Jesus! You really killed him!" Sykunno exclaimed.
Corpse stared at Sykunno. "Really?"
Sykunno shrugged. "You'd expect Micheal would remember to equip the snipers with silencers, but oh well. The guards are probably suspicious something is up, although they might not have know one of the suspects are dead."
Sykunno looked through his binoculars again. "I don't see the other target." he muttered. "We're going to have to infiltrate the building."
Corpse repacked his sniper and the two climbed back down the apartment building stairs, and climbed the house from the side. "We're going to drop in the room that the target was killed in, and we're going to make it work from there." Sykunno said.
Corpse and Sykunno dropped into the room the target was killed in. He felt his pulse. None, just as Corpse suspected. "First target is down-" Corpse said to Sykunno when the door swung open. A dull-eyed man came in, and looked at Corpse and Sykunno, and spotted the dead body.
The guard gaped. "Assassins!" He cried into his walky-talky. "Get the witness out of here-"
Corpse punched the guard square in the jaw. The guard dropped to the floor, fumbling for his walky-talky on the ground. "Help!" the guard screamed again. "They're on the top floor!" Sykunno walked over to the panicking guard, and pulled out his pistol, shooting him twice. Corpse glanced out the window. Sure enough, two other guards and the second target were being rushed out of the house. Corpse reassembled his sniper and trained it on the targets head.
Bang
Corpse was flung backwards to the wall behind him. The gun had exploded in his hands when he shot it. "It exploded!" Sykunno yelled. "Micheal was right!"
"We still gotta catch the second target!" Corpse yelled back. Two other guards climbed up the stairs to the top floor with Corpse and Sykunno. "Catch!" Sykunno yelled, tossing a baseball bat lying on a corner of the room to Corpse. Corpse caught it and turned back to the guards. The guard held up a pistol, but now he looked uncertain and hesitated now that Corpse had a bat. Big Mistake. Corpse slammed the guard in the head with the bat, and the guard slumped to the ground. The other guard raised his gun in protest, but Sykunno gunned him down.
"Let's get to the target!" Corpse yelled. They rushed down the stairs and out the side door that they had seen them go through. "Where were they?" Corpse wondered. He heard a yelp from a distant alleyway. He rushed to that alleyway to find the target and his two guards, struggling to climb over a locked gate. The guards saw him and raised their guns, but Sykunno shot the guns out of their hands.
"Go get em Corpse!" Sykunno yelled cheerfully. One minute later, all three of them were dead, bludgeoned to death by Corpse's baseball bat.
"You done?" Sykunno asked, looking up from his phone.
"Yup." Corpse replied.
"Great, then let's pack up. Yvonne's agents are on their way now." Sykunno said.
"Ah, right." Corpse muttered. "Sorry for the mess. I did such a sloppy job."
"Don't be sorry!" Sykunno said cheerfully as he painted the Cartel Symbol on the wall with the victim's blood. "I think you did a great job Corpse! Really effective!"
Corpse rolled his eyes with a smile. "Thanks."
