Because of the troll attack, we are all pardoned school today. Most children are lounging in the common area, looking at the mess created by the troll that the maintenance guys are taking care of. Even Rebecca is just sipping on a soda with no book on front of her.

I walk over to the fridge, trying not to drag my legs and give away how weary I am. I open the fridge and am met with shelves full of blood bags. Cursing, I close it quickly. Wrong fridge. Again. I walk over to the other fridge. I'm in dire need of a bottle of water. Otherwise I would have lost my appetite.

"Everyone! It's Hellena, the dragon rider!"

It's Steve, he is loud and way too arrogant and I've always preferred to stay away from him. Guess being the leader of the wolves really got to him. Sometimes I wonder what kind of alpha he's going to be, but if the wolves survived with Zed, then I guess Steve won't be anything they can't handle.

    "Hey Steve, what's up?"

"None of us have ever been as close to the dragon as you have. He only ever got that close to the Goddess Sophia. Tell me, what is it like?"

Oh, he comes in peace. Looks like someone had a piece of humble pie today.

"It's... Not bad." I shrug, what can I say.

"That's all you are going to say?" The thing with Steve is when he talks, he talks so loudly that people have no choice but to listen. But right now they seem genuinely interested. Everyone wants to know more about the dragon, the mysterious red dragon.

"You know what? Why don't you all gather around and I'll tell you all about him. In fact, I think I know who he is. Wait, I actually do know who he is." I walk over to the center of the common room and the students gather in front of me- the bottle of water forgotten. The little ones have these cute expectant looks on their faces that rip at my heart. Stacy's look is daring as always. It seems like she's always daring everyone to do everything. Like she always knows some secret everyone else doesn't which gives her an upper hand.

The fairies have the same look of genuine interest. Most of the vampires look bored- don't they always. Steve's wolves are fired up, like they are high on something. Nothing new there."

"Okay, so where do I begin?"

"Where do you begin as in you have so much to say or you don't know anything." That's Stacy, of course.

"Will you just shut up and let her speak?" Steve. He's on my good side today.

They enter into a staring contest. These two might actually kill each other.

"Okay. As I was saying. The dragon is someone we all know. Someone you're all fond of." Not me. At this moment, I don't think I'm fond of anyone.

"You mean he's one of us? But how come we haven't seen him before?" Kylie, a little girl I'm really fond of says. Yeah yeah, I know what I said. But it's hard not to be fond of her. She's cute and looks at me with eyes as big as saucers, taking in every word I say.

She's one of the eight kindergarten kids we have. Power usually manfests after eighteen or after one's death and it's never safe to keep a human between supernatural children. But Kylie's parents just wouldn't know what to do with her when their five-year old daughter kept healing as soon as she got injured or bruised. Then they met Harold and their problems disappeared. Hide her away before the neighbors got to know.

Looking down at Kylie right now, I wonder, how can someone be ready to give away such cuteness?

"Dragons can transform into humans too Kylie, if they want. Just like Steve, Henry and Amanda can transform into wolves." I try to explain.
