Nico POV

I was in the Hades cabin looking over the paper that asked if I wanted to stay the winter at camp. I honestly didn't know if I wanted to or not, what I did know was that I didn't want to spend three months with around two hundred ADHD campers, I did however want to spend it with Will.

But after deciding that it would definitely not be good with my PTSD, I tried thinking of spending the winter in the underworld; it would be even colder than it is in the summer, and with Persephone right there it wouldn't be that fun. yeah no way I am spending the summer there.

I started to think about living in New Rome, with Annabeth, Percy, Reyna, Hazel, Frank and Jason, I would really like it there, but Reyna has enough to worry about, she doesn't need me making things harder for her, that would be very selfish of me.

I still had a week before I needed to hand the letter in saying my response, but I was still so unsure, that I decided I needed time to clear my head. I walked out of my cabin and whistled for Mrs. O'Leary.

Percy never minded it when I took her out for a walk, in fact he loved it when she got extra exercise, and none of the other campers ever wanted to take her out for a walk, because they were scared she'd chop their heads off. Not that I could really blame them.

Mrs. O'Leary was big and energetic so it's natural to feel frightened by her, especially if you don't know her. But inside she's just a big softie not scary at all.

As Mrs. O'Leary jumped out of the shadows. We shadow travelled to behind a building as to not draw attention popping out of nowhere.

We walked to a McDonald's and I ordered a happy meal, I payed for the meal and was about to sit in the shade of a tree with Mrs. O'Leary treading behind me, when I bumped into a very large and tall man with blond hair and blue eyes.

Mind you they were not as blue as Thalia or Jason's but they were a very striking color.

"Oh sorry" I apologized quickly

"Oh no, that's my fault, I wasn't looking where I was going," he apologized back.

"Cool dog!" he exclaimed while looking at Mrs. O'Leary.

"Thanks but she's not mine, she's my cousin's Percy's, anyway we got to go. Come on Mrs. O'Leary." I called out to her.

When she heard me call out to her, the large Hellhound jumped up and we walked to a park.  As we marched to the park I could sense the large man's gaze on my back. The social experience had mentally drained me so when I felt the gaze on me leave, I looked back at him, two men had suddenly attached themselves on to his shoulders, laughing very loudly and asking him if he ordered a meal for himself yet. I had thought that maybe it was just my imagination, but thought I should probably steer clear of the strange man and his allies.

My interest in the man left and I sat down in the cool shade of the shadow of a tree, thinking back to my dilemma.

"To stay or to leave..." I muttered quietly.
