Song: Lie a Little Better by Lucy Hale
Sorry I had no idea what to put for this chapter! It's pretty hard to fit a song to...^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I sat on the floor while, getting really involved in the book I was reading when I suddenly yelped, dropping the book.
"Ow! That hurt!"
"Sorry, I'm just curling it, I didn't do anything." She yanked my hair again, smiling.
"Celine, really?"
She giggled.
"Okay, so Angela can't get here right now, but she will be here for when we unveil the masterpiece that is your hair and clothes.
"So what exactly is your plan?"
"She's just looking good first. It's the first step to getting back at Mike. Then you will be needed for the second step." Tara said, like she meant business.
"Wow. You've really planned this out."
"Wait, come again?" Danny looked incredibly puzzled.
"I'm not saying that again."
"Huh?"
"You know, you'll have to act like to I actually know what's going on when you pretend to be my boyfriend." I said slyly.
"Wait WHAT?" Now he was pacing. I really hated it when people paced,
"Will you stop that? I'm trying to do her hair!" Celine cried.
He stopped.
"Don't worry. You just need to make him jealous. You're not really my boyfriend. I just need to give him the impression that I like someone else. Then he'll finally get the hint that I'm the one playing him." I giggled.
"Okay. So tomorrow, the first thing is the phone call. You'll talk to me, Danny, when i call you, and it'll be in plain view of Mike."
"Fine." He gave up, with a look on his face that he had definitely surrendered to our plan.*****************************************
"Mom. Can you please not talk to me? I'm making a call." I tried to sound casual.
"To who?" she shouted up the stairs.
"Um, T, Tara..." I was such a good actress, and I hoped he would take the bait."Please turn down the volume of your music, Louis. I'm making a call!" I shouted as loudly as I could. His music wasn't even that loud. I just wanted to make as big a deal of the phone call as I could.
"You talk to your friends all the time, so why not just go into your room right now and make the call?" Mike had come out of his room.
We hadn't talked to each other in days, and I was surprised he was even wasting his breath to talk to me.
"I didn't ask for your opinion." I answered coldly, pressing the call button for Danny's number.
Mike was about to say something but I cut him off.
"Keep it zipped. That is if you hear any of this. Or I will personally slaughter you in your sleep." I hissed at him.
"Good to know." He said before disappearing through his door, just as I said the word 'Danny'.
He paused. I smiled.
"Hey babe." I heard Danny say rather loudly. "You can't come over tonight, sorry. I guess next week will have to do. My parents will be out then." I said, getting straight to the point.
"Don't worry about it. It'll be your first time, but don't be nervous, babe." Danny seemed to go with it fine, and as a result I almost choked on my own saliva because of what he had said... Ew, ew, ew...
"I know. I can't wait though." I replied rather hastily, seeing that Mike had officially frozen, his door half-closed.
I was the one smirking this time.
"Well I'll have to talk to you later. I can't say anything else to you until Mike has entered his room and isn't listening to our conversation." I surprised myself by sounding really convincing.
"Okay. Bye babe." Danny hung up."Do you have a problem?" I felt like I was in 'Wildchild' because I was acting like Poppy. I had severe attitudinal problems.
"No. I know what you're up to, because I see you've moved on really way too quickly." He hissed, slamming his door as he re-entered his room.
I didn't know whether to be happy or annoyed.
What did Mike mean by 'he knew'? Why isn't anyone ever more specific in life?I unlocked my phone to see that Danny had texted me.
Nice talking to ya, babe. X
I just hoped he hadn't got the wrong idea.
