"Danny! Thank God you're here!" I screeched and grabbed him.
"Just calm! It's not even like he's back yet!" Danny said as he was pulled towards me.
Celine and Angela are upstairs.
"So what am I do..." Danny looked really confused.
"Shhh..."
We both heard the front door open, and it interrupted Danny's bewilderment.
"Louis, okay, man, I really need to talk to you..." We heard him say in the hallway.
"Kiss me!" I hissed at Danny.
"Hey! This wasn't part of the..." I interrupted him with a kiss. He stiffened then relaxed and leaned into the kiss.

Yeah, this is so the way to not lead Danny on, Lauren...!

I heard someone enter the room, and it wasn't Mike.

It was my mum...

Oh, shoot.

"What is Danny doing here?" My mum shouted at us as we quickly broke apart.
"He just came over to, er..." I couldn't say anything.
Tara giggled from the doorway.
"Tara!" I hissed. The girls had all come down to see what was going on, and Mike too.
"I'm dating, your daughter, Mrs Nettle." Danny scratched the back of his head. It was like he actually thought we were dating...
I glared at him: "What?" He couldn't just say that to my mum.
"We're not dating." I said quickly.
"Lauren, why must you be mixed up with so many boys? First, Mike, now him." She pointed at Danny.
Mike chuckled and I glared at him.
My mum walked out of the room, pulling Mike with her.

"You're taking this too far, Lauren. Stop." Danny said.
"No I'm not! Please, you can't back out now!" I said in a pleading voice.
"I'm out." He declared, holding his hands up and walking out of the room and running up the stairs to my room to join Tara and Angela. I stared after him. What was I going to do now?
Celine stood beside me.
"Yeah, maybe it was taking it a bit far by kissing Danny." She said.
"I didn't know what to do. I'm just so confused what to do right now. I just want to rip his guts out and destroy his life!" I sighed angrily.
"Right. Maybe I can help you with that." Celine laughed.
"Seriously?" I asked her.
"No I was just joking, sadly. Although we could just destroy in an easier way... " She chuckled, whispering her idea into my ear.
"School is in five days. The holidays are nearly over. We can plan then." She smiled.
"But that's way too mean!"
"Hmm... But no one will know it's us." Celine said, grinning. I finally nodded.
"I'll think about it. You are so evil." I stared at her.
"Thank you." She grinned.
"So what now?" Angela and Tara joined us at that precise moment.
"Lauren!" My mum screeched from the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen, frustrated.
"What?"
"Don't have such an attitude! I'm inviting you to a party. Actually, I'm demanding that you have to be there. Well, it's just a party although there will be dancing, I'm afraid. But I have asked someone to be your partner." She said to me, pausing for suspense.
Please let it not be Mike. I thought silently.
"And Louis has agreed." I sighed in relief.
"I thought you were going to say Mike! You nearly gave me a heart attack! I have to dance with Louis?" I asked. At least it was better than Mike, but still, it was ridiculous. I had to dance with my brother. It was going to look stupid.
"Yes, but I haven't asked him yet. Can you go ask him now? And all my work colleagues will be there, including my boss, so be on your best behaviour!" My mum added.
"I'm a sixteen YEARS old, not MONTHS...!" I laughed at my own joke before departing from the room hastily to tell my brother.

I was still not looking forward to this 'party'... In fact, I had a bad feeling about it.
