Third Person POV

For a little while now, Grace has been selling herself on the internet, anonymously of course, and despite the fact that to others it's not the most ideal job, she couldn't care less. For one it easily gets the bills paid and two... In some ways she actually enjoys it. Which is a rare occasion.

it's thrilling, the idea that people find her body so attractive that they'd pay hundreds of dollars for one single pic or video is so mind blowing.

she wouldn't make anyone pay that much unless they wanted to but just the fact that she had the power to charge as much as she wanted made her giddy.She didn't exactly pick the job and it definitely wasn't something she dreamed of but it also wasn't something she was forced upon by anyone.

She read about it, became interested, and decided to do it- that was all.

Like previously stated, it payed the bills and for as long as she'd like them to be paid- she'll have to continue working online. Finding a job without a diploma is tough, and she'd rather not have to work fast food or jobs that requires too much customer service and human interaction.

No one could picture Grace in that setting and the idea actually repulsed her. She didn't care about those who did, in fact she'd applaud them for withstanding so much bullshit, but anyone can agree working fast food is shitty.

That was a definite no.

However  like any other job, working online comes with its own challenges. Its different, but struggling with body image is common in the line of work. There are times where she experiences body dysmorphia which is essentially a mental illness. It comes and goes but when it's there, Its a lot to handle.

Coping with it can be sometimes unhealthy and leads to even more mental illnesses that she probably has but hasn't officially been diagnosed with. With every unhealthy behavior comes strong highs, but even lower lows- something she's just recently begun to realize.

She is fine though, She gets through it like she has with everything else.

Grace is often opposed to letting others have an opinion on her and her choices. She couldn't care less what any of her customers ( or even friends) thought about her life, well... unless its her neighbor next door deep down, his opinion matters to her more than she would like to admit. She never would out loud, but she was very aware.

Enzo Walker, 37, Nerdy but in a sexy kind of way , Tall and lean but with nice muscles, an old timer yet still up to date with everything. Mostly thanks to grace who is always yapping and explaining random things.

In the eyes of many young women, such as Grace, Older men are a massive turn on. Boys her age is what she calls the definition of immature and she'd rather swim in a pool full of piranhas than ever go for a young guy.

This all may have to do with the fact that she's never had good role models or parents that cared and nurtured her. She's never had a present father and although she did have a "mother" in the picture, that woman was as far as dead to Grace. Certain people should not be allowed to have kids, and her birth giver was one of them.

All these mommy and daddy issues have led her to fantasize about her older neighbor since the very first day that met. 8 months Mr. Walker moved in and immediately they had formed a bond. To him it was purely just friendship and mutual acts of services and respect. To Grace though, it gave her a lot of delusions.

She wanted him. 

She had decided that from that day on and has created numerous plans to get him.

she's never made a move on him which was surprising to her since she definitely has the confidence. Yet something was holding her back, she had come to a conclusion that maybe there is a  little bit of fear of rejection  at play- something she's never had.

Grace was never one to turn mushy and shy for any guy, well, except her neighbor and if probably has something to do with his experienced mind and unique way with words that leave her feeling tamed and humbled ... she was practically on her knees for him.

She couldn't quite read him, he's good at masking how he feels- that is if he's even masking anything. Maybe just maybe he's not all that attracted to her, perhaps he just simply thinks of her as a neighbor who he enjoys building a platonic connection with,  however, to her that didn't matter. Her delusions were bigger than anything else.

Plus there's no way he hasn't had at least one unholy thought about her. She didn't think she was cocky, but when she meets a man that doesn't automatically throw himself at her, she gets irked. It's an unfamiliar feeling.

Despite all of the signs pointing to a whole other direction then the one she wants, hopeful thinking is what's gotten her everything she's ever wanted so the young girl continues to hang on to positivity in hopes that she will remain sane.

Delusion is a form of manifestation.

But with a neighbor like hers, the word sane is very forgettable- almost non existent. He drove her insane, something a man's never been able to do. It's supposed to be the other way around.

People don't and will never understand her fascination with Enzo walker but that's what makes it all so interesting. Her best friend, alex, is very confused about it yet intrigued. He's always asking for updates and gets giddy at her delusions.

Her other friends though aren't as open minded. They think it's unnecessary considering she could get with anyone else. In some ways she could see their reasoning and perhaps they were right. however, unfortunately for them she's not the type of girl to call defeat.

she will be her neighbors defeat... The very thing that will bring him to his knees. He just needs a big push and she knows exactly how to push his buttons.

over the course of the few months he's lived in the neighborhood, her friendship with her neighbor bloomed and it allowed her to study him. Not in a creepy way but in a genuinely curious way. Like what made him smile, what made him laugh, what made him cringe, what made his angry- she observed them all.

Grace has always been Interested in human behavior and what causes them. If she ever went to collage, she'd study forensic psychology or any studies that have to do with human behavior.

she does enjoy her life as a "work from home on the internet girl", but there is a part of her hoping to reach dreams that she herself had locked away in a box. She threw the key away long ago but it's still a big possibility. Enzo is constantly encouraging her to achieve her goals and do big in life. Like any other middle aged man, He was big on ted talks.

She can see that he doesn't care for her, he's always asking what she wants in life. However every time he asks she doesn't know what to say, how is one supposed to answer such a question if they've never explored themselves in that way?

she's never been one to take herself seriously but Enzo is serious in human form and that makes her wonder if perhaps while she'll be pushing his buttons, will he be pushing hers as well?

She couldn't wait to find out.

This is more of an introduction chapter that answers all of your pre reading questions ( hopefully).
