*Sarahs POV*

I woke up in Dylan's arms, for some friends this would feel awkward, but not for Dyl and I. He's been my rock for years even if he didn't know it. The pain from my bullet wound was throbbing and it took all my strength not to scream out in pain. Just then a nurse walked in. She cleared her throat and Dylan jumped a little and looked at me then to the nurse.

"Excuse me but you really shouldn't be in that bed with her." She look between Dylan and I. He started to move but I grabbed his arm.

"No I want him beside me" I nodded at my nurse, winching with pain and clutching my side as I moved.

"Okay okay" she held her hands up in defence, "I just need to give you this sweetie, it'll ease the pain" she smiled putting the needle in the drip on my hand, smiled then left.

I could feel the pain easing as I lay back down resting my head back on Dylan. I turned to look at him, only just realising he was staring at me. We lay for a while in silence, it wasn't awkward or anything it was just nice. I could feel his heart beating with my hand that sat on his chest.

*Thomas' POV*

I woke up on the sofa lay cuddled into Lola, man she's beautiful. Guilt overwhelmed me as I thought it. It's been 3 years since Amanda died, am I aloud to feel this way about someone else already?

The memory's of last night started to fill my mind. I raised my hand to my cheek feeling the pain if left last night when whoever that was in my flat pushed me out of the way and I connected with the fridge. I looked down at Lola to see her eyes flutter open.

"Morning" I tried to smile at her.

"Good morning" she smiled back at me "are you going back to the hospital?" She looked up at me.

"I'm going to have a shower first but yeah, you can come if you like? The police will be there to talk to Sarah today so we can tell them about what happened last night too." I looked down at her seeing the graze on her cheek. It's not as bad as it looked last night.

We both showered and and have her another set of my clothes to wear for now. It wasn't long before we were in my car and headed to the hospital. When we arrived I felt my whole body tense as I went to walk through the door to Sarah's room.

"Um I'll just wait out here" Lola spoke looking at the floor.

"Just give me a minute and then I'll introduce you properly, okay?" I smiled at her and she nodded in return.

I walked into Sarah's room relief filling my emotions as soon as I saw she was awake, and in bed with Dylan? I felt the smile grow on my face look at how happy they made each other.

"How's my little soldier?" I spoke realising they hadn't heard me come in. I saw them both jump a little as I spoke.

"I'll be okay Tommy, aren't I always" she weakly smiled at me.

Dylan got out of the bed and moved it so she was sat up a bit then sat beside her taking her hands in his.

"Have the police been to talk to you yet?" I asked raising and eyebrow. She shook her head, "good cause Lola and I need to talk to them too." I could see her face drop as she noticed my cheek.

"Thomas what happened to you? And who's Lola?" Worry filled her voice, I hate that Sarah feels like she has to be the strong one for us.

"Someone was in my flat last night, I don't know who but I got this when I disturbed them in my kitchen" I sighed pointing at my face. "And I met Lola at the pub when I was waiting for you two at the pub, some thug stole her bag with all her stuff in so she had to stay with me last night. She's in the waiting room the now" I finished looking at their faces searching for a hint to their thoughts.
Sarah bit her lip worry filled her eyes looking from Dylan to me.

Just then a nurse walked in. "We need to change your dressing sweetie, and make sure the wound is healing" she smiled down at Sarah.

She shifted in her bed letting go of Dylan's hand, fixing her sheets and pulling her hospital gown up revealing the dressing on her side. The nurse removed the dressing revealing the stitches from where the bullet was removed.

"It's looking good, the stitches are holing well, if you're feeling up to it you can go home today" the nurse nodded applying a new dressing over the stitches. "You'll need clean clothes before you leave if one of you boys could go and get her some, I will start the paperwork to discharge her" she finished.

"I brought jeans and a shirt you left at mines" I smiled at her.

"Okay I'll be back soon to tell you when you can leave, we can arrange the police to come out to your house if that'd make you more at ease?" She looked at Sarah, who nodded in response. With that the nurse left the room.

Sarah got out of bed and Dylan hapless her to the bathroom, she returned a few minutes later looking more like herself. Her long brown hair flowing down her back, she tried a smile when she noticed me looking. Dylan was back at her side helping her into the chair he'd sat in the night before.

I left the room to find Lola sat in the waiting room, her face lit up when she seen me walking through. "Are you ready to meet my friends?" I returned her smile. She nodded in response, and through we went. Lola hesitated at the door. I flashed her a comforting smile, tool her hand and led her into the hospital room.

*Lola's POV*

I entered the room hand in hand with Thomas, nerves washing over me for reasons I didn't quite understand.

"So you're the infamous Lola then" the girl who I'm assuming is Sarah spoke. "Tommy here hasn't shut up about you since he got here, didn't ask how I was feeling once" she laughed as Thomas shot her a look that could kill. "I'm Sarah, the idiot that got herself shot" she waved at me.

"It's nice to meet you" God why can't I talk. I don't understand why I'm so nervous!

"I'm Dylan," he waved too, "but you met me in a state last night." He smiled at me.

"Yeah I remember, it's nice to see you again" I half returned his smile. I need to relax. At this rate Thomas is never going to speak to me again.

"So are we all going to mine and Dyls place?" Sarah spoke again looking between us all. The boys just nodded. "Toommmyy can I drive" she grinned at him.

"Not a bloody chance you got shot last night or did you forget that? Not to mention you're clearly high on painkillers" he slightly chuckled as he spoke.

They all have such a strong bond, I feel stupid even being here. Just then the nurse walked in telling Sarah she was free to leave and giving her painkillers in the process.

We all headed to Thomas' car and climbed in, Sarah winching in pain as she did so. "Lead the way Tommy" Dylan smiled putting his seatbelt on, Sarah lay on the back seat with her head on his lap. Then we were off, on out way to another strange house to talk to the police about everything that happened last night. I still don't quite understand what Thomas said about bad things getting worse, but I'm sure he'll explain
