Synopsis: Taehyun forgot that it's valentine's day, so when he sees a pouty Beomgyu, he decided to make it up for the older boy

Taehyun pov

I woke up to the smell of pancakes, so I opened my eyes and saw that my dear boyfriend wasn't in bed anymore. I got up and put on a sweater and jeans (and socks), before I left the bedroom and went to the kitchen.

I saw the most adorable scene in front of me. Beomgyu was wearing a baby pink apron with light blue sweater and white jeans. He was putting the pancake batter on the pan as I noticed that there were a lot of pancakes already.

I smiled as I went and hugged my adorable boyfriend from behind. He jumped slightly but calmed down when he realized it was me. He continued to make the pancakes as I hugged his waist keeping my head in his shoulder.

"Morning babe" I said, my voice still little bit deep from sleeping. He just giggled quietly.
"Good morning Hyunnie" he smiled while still focusing on the pancakes. I hummed and nuzzled my head on his neck.

"Why are you making pancakes? Pink pancakes to be exact" I asked curiously. Beomgyu froze a little before laughing awkwardly.
"Just felt like it" he whispered as he focused even harder on the pancakes, flipping them over.

I hummed as I let go of his waist, he clearly wanted to do the task in peace so I let him by going to our living room. I opened my phone only then and it was 14th of February, Valentine's day. I mentally cursed at myself, I totally forgot it was today, all the assignments and exams coming made me confused with days.

I looked towards the kitchen and saw my baby pouting while doing the last pancakes. I messed up, and I felt so bad for forgetting the day. Especially since valentine's day is also our anniversary day. We've been together for 5 years now, how could I also forget our anniversary.

"The pancakes are ready" the sentence from my sweet boyfriend's mouth broke me from my thoughts and I just got up, walking to the dining area of our kitchen. Beomgyu was putting everything on the table, still pouting which made me feel worse.

"Baby, do you need help?"
"Nope, almost everything is at the table already..." he put the jam on the dining table, "Aaaand done" he continued with a small smile.

"Ah okay, you should have called me for help too you know? You still should be resting..."
"Taehyun, I'm okay, I've rested too much by now" Beomgyu hit the back of my head making me wince a little by the suddenness of it.

"Now sit and eat you idiot" my baby laughed a little while sitting in his normal seat. I went to the other side and sat on my seat, looking at Beomgyu like he was the most beautiful thing in the world, which is true in my eyes.

"Eat already Hyunnie and don't stare at me" the boy in front of me said while blushing pink. I cooed at the cuteness of my boyfriend. But still I decided to listen to him and took some pancakes with jam and started eating.

"Yummy!" I said while covering my mouth with my hand. He laughed at my reaction but still mumbled a thank you. We ate in comforting and sweet silence as we both stole glances at each other, giggling slightly when our eyes would met.

After a half hour I was full of the small pink pancakes and so was Beomgyu as he put the rest of the now smaller pile in the fridge along with everything else. I took the dishes and put then in the dishwasher after rinsing them up a little.

As I got done I remembered that I had a gift for Gyu, I was planning on giving it to him on his birthday but this would be a better gift for our anniversary and valentine's day.

"Gyu, I'm gonna go get something, can you go sit on the sofa and wait for me there?"
"Yeah I can" he smiled before going to the living room and sitting on the black sofa. I quickly went to the bedroom and went to our walk in closet.

I started to look at the place I hid a specific small while velvet box. After couple minutes I found it so I left our bedroom and stepped in the living room where Beomgyu was doing a flower crown with the flowers he had bought couple days prior.

I walked next to him and he put the flowers on the small living room table before looking at me. I took a deep breath.

"Can you close your eyes and not peek?" he nodded and did just that. I smiled as I got on one knee in front of him.
"You can open your eyes now" as he did he gasped seeing me on the floor, showing him the white velvet box.

"Taehyun..."
"I love you so much, I don't know what I would do if you weren't in my life right now. You always made me feel safe and at home when we weren't even together. I wish I could spend the rest of my life with you, so..." I opened the box revealing the ring before continuing, "Would you, Choi Beomgyu, marry me, grow old with me and love for the rest of your life with me?" I looked into his eyes.

He started crying and was wiping his tears away while nodding and mumbling yes millions of times with a small smile on his lips, as he stared right back at me. I got up and sat next to him, slipping the engagement ring on his left hand and he slipped mine onto my left hand. We smiled at each other like idiots.

"I love you Choi soon to be Kang Beomgyu" I smiled as I wrapped my arms around his waist.
"I love you more you idiotic Kang Taehyun" he giggled while wrapping his arms around my neck. I kissed his forehead, nose, cheeks and lastly his lips.

I was beyond happy, I couldn't even believe that we were now engaged, on our 5th anniversary, in our own apartment. I slightly bit in his lower lip and he opened his mouth a little, giving me access. We stayed there and made out with only feelings of love and gratitude pouring into it.

When we finally pulled away, his lips were red and slightly swollen. I gently pulled the older boy into my lap, dropping my hands to his hips as he hold onto me. I connected our lips again while laying him down on the couch, us kissing slowly while our chests were pressed together and me sitting between his legs.

When I pulled away from the kiss, I smiled at him. He was blushing, but smiling back at me. This was a dream come true, I couldn't wait for what the future has stored up for us, but with Beomguy by my side I was positive that everything would go towards the best direction.

"I love you Hyunnie" Beomgyu whispered while playing with my hair, his eyes looking like they held the universe in them.
"I love you too Gyu" I whispered back, smiling while rubbing circles onto his hips. He giggled a little before pulling me back down for another kiss.

Our valentine's day started as forgotten by me but everything was better now. Now that Beomgyu would be mine in the eyes of the law sooner or later in the future.

A/N: over 1200 words of fluff and I feel awkward– And single af, wtf I made this and I made myself feel single... Is that even possible? I guess so *shrugs*
