"Felix? Felix!" I cry, and I pull his head into my lap, and wrap my arms around him. "Please wake up!"

But then, someone emerges from the woods around us, and my heart sinks. Prince Zaine stands there, looking at us with a look of disdain. He then draws a sword and walks closer to us. His clothes are torn and bloodied, but he doesn't appear to have a wound on him.

"So sorry I have to kill you like this," he says, his eyes darkening as he steps closer to us. "But then, with him, I suppose I don't have to do much, do I?"

I know he's baiting me. I really do. But I can't let Felix die, especially not now. And I have no time to fight with Zaine here. So instead of rising to his bait, I stand up and lay Felix on the ground in front of me. Then, I walk around to stand between him and Zaine.

"One will bring me death," I say softly, thinking of the riddles that lead me here. Thinking of how I will never forgive myself if I let Felix die here. Thinking of how stupid I was to have come alone in the first place.

My eyes lock on Zaine, and I concentrate on my magick, on whatever force is inside me just waiting to burst free. I look at him one last time, and then something in me just clicks into place. I unleash my power then, and green sparks of energy fly at him, engulfing Zaine in a shower of green magick.

I then cast him away, and it actually works for once.

I turn around and pick up Felix, then begin to walk awkwardly along, with Felix's weight on me as he is propped up against me for support. But as I walk through the woods, dragging my unconscious friend along behind me, I see a shimmering light up ahead. I feel a sudden strange pull, like a command for me to go there right now, to go to the strange, bluish purple glow.

After a few minutes of me awkwardly pulling Felix along, I come to a stop at the edge of the clearing where the light was coming from. I see a girl standing in the middle of the clearing, her long, strawberry blonde hair flows down her back and cascades to her waist. She wears a sky blue dress, and no shoes as she stands among the tall, waving grass.

She looks at us, tilts her head to the side, and then runs to us.

That is when I end up collapsing from sheer exhaustion. I cannot remember the last time I got a full night's sleep. I can barely function, but I know right now I have to stay awake. For Felix.

"I can heal him," the girl says.

"Please, do," I say.

She gets to work unraveling the bandages and then she holds her hand in the air above his chest. I watch as her hands glow that same bluish purple light, and then I watch as Felix's chest stops rising and falling so fast, and his breathing is normal again.

She then smiles at me, and leans back, wiping the blood from her hands in the dirt.

"I'm Wendy, by the way," she says.

I smile at her. "I'm Tinkerbell."
