Unexpected Romance

The lights on the ABC lit up the letters F-R-I-D-G-E then quickly flickered and disappeared. We all exchange glances and stared at the wall. "fridge?" questioned Noah with a confused tone. Before we knew it, Millie left the living room and went into the kitchen. "where are you going Mills?" I asked. She gave me a blank look and replied, "to the fridge". Me and Noah laughed at how dumb we both were and headed to Millie. "so Sherlock you looking' to see if there's any carrots in the fridge" I said in a sarcastic tone while Noah burst out laughing. "No way guys, no time for food we need to solve this riddle, and I think there's something on the fridge, look" retorted Millie. As they all starred at the fridge nothing seemed obviously wrong and then Millie playfully punched us both. "oh, come on! Look at the magnets!" she shouted aggressively. When me and Noah both came to realization, I went to pick up the note which was attached to the magnets but then the magnets all fell. "well Joyce was right" Noah smiled as he picked the note off the floor and read it out loud.

"Don't mess around with Jim" spelt out the note and at the same time Noah read it out loud, the Jim Croce song by the same name started playing on the radio in Jonathan's room.(watch the video) we all ran into the room and smiled at each other before shouting out in unison "Hopper's Cabin!". The music started playing louder so we all sang the song together whilst jumping up and down. Millie and Noah jumped on the bed and began having a flossing competition. I cheered them both on and did the air guitar to the beat of the music. We all danced for about 20 minutes before collapsing on the bed and laughing loudly.

"Guys it's one o' clock, we have been clue hunting ever since we got here and we haven't eaten or slept" I moaned. Millie got off the bed and walked out the room, me and Noah followed her to the kitchen to see her holding a bag of carrots. "what! Y/N's right we should eat, then spend the night here" she exclaimed. Me and Noah nodded, and I went to look in the fridge to see if we could make some sort of meal. "shall I cook us something" I said. Noah went and sat down on the sofa before replying "yes please", Mills agreed and joined Noah. I examined the fridge before settling on making a homemade pizza with various toppings. I gathered my items and set them down on the counter, I sighed and started spreading tomato puree on the premade pizza bases, I decided to make one pizza each. I then put a mixture of all types of cheeses and asked mills and Noah what toppings they wanted. "Can I have peperoni please" Noah shouted. I nodded then looked at mills who was already half the way through the bag of carrots. "uh can I have a Vegetable one" she exclaimed. I took out the ingredients to make sure I had their requested toppings before I said, "sure thing". For myself I decided on having a barbeque Chicken pizza. (you can change it if you do not want that)

The pizzas were already in about half an hour and I began putting the pizzas on the table. Noah came over and set the table, "thanks" I said sweetly. "no problem" he replied whilst serving everyone drinks. We motioned mills to come and sit down and we all enjoyed our food. "wow Y/N you're such a good cook" Noah said with his mouth full. "thanks" I giggled. Millie put raw carrot on her pizza and me and Noah looked at her confused. She rolled her eyes and continued to eat her pizza. "so, Noah and Y/N, you guys are so in love with each other why don't you ask Y/N to be your girlfriend Noah" she asked. I looked at Noah and blushed, he also went red in the face and just ate his pizza ignoring the question. My face went blank and I rushed off to will's room nearly on the verge of tears. "does he not want me" I thought to myself as I shut the door and laid on the bed.

Noah's Pov

"Millie why would you say that! Look what you've done!" I screamed. Millie rolled her eyes sat up from her chair to stand next to me. "just ask her already, it's your fault you ignored my question, Y/N has probably got the wrong impression" she said aggressively then sat on the couch. "go talk to her" she continued. I stood there in silence, "Mills is right, I have to fix this" I thought to myself as I ran to Will's room. I paced up and down outside the room, debating what I would say to Y/N. I finally came to the courage to nock on her door. I heard a footstep come to the door, and I felt nervous.

 Back to Y/N's Pov

I wiped the tears from my face with my hand and open the door, "what do you want Noah" I said with a sad tone. "I need to talk to you" Noah said. I motioned him to come and sit next to me on the bed. I looked at him with tears in my eyes waiting for his response which would probably break my heart. "Will you be my girlfriend" Noah said softly with his hand on my shoulder. My eyes widened and looked at him blankly. "huh, you ignored Millie's question, so I assumed you didn't like me" I said innocently. "No that's not the case, in fact it's the complete opposite, I love you. I just didn't want to ask you at the dinner table, you know I wanted it to be more special" he said. My eyes lit up and I let out a huge sigh of relief. "ohh well in that case, of course I will be your girlfriend" I exclaimed.

 A huge smile grew on his face and he put his hands on my face and pulled me into a gentle kiss. I smiled and kissed him back. Millie stormed through the door "Guys s- oh I see you made up; did you ask her Noah?" Millie giggled. We stopped kissing and he happily replied "yep, she said yes". Millie hugged us both, "aww congratulations, you are so adorable together" She said whilst releasing us both from her arms. "what did you want to say Millie" I said. She looked up at the celling and then replied "oh yea, I was going to say let's go to sleep, tomorrow we will head to the cabin" she ordered. Me and Noah nodded, we sorted out the room arrangements and got ready for bed. Noah slept in Johnathan's room, Millie was in Joyce's and I was in Will's. I was so overwhelmed, but I got into bed and fell asleep quickly.
