18, part 2

"Loki, what happened to her?!" Frigga exclaims with worry in her eyes, she sees all your cuts and all your bruises and starts dabbing them with a cloth,

"I caught her... she was jumping from the clocktower.... I- I think she was trying to kill herself..." he holds his head in his hands as the medic arrives and begings nursing you,

"Mother... do you think she did it... because of me..."

"No! Dont say that, most young girls in her position will start to feel quite trapped, she cant leave the palace walls alone and she has spent her whole life knowing she is going to be sold into marrage!"

Frigga looks up at loki sympathetically,

"I think she just needs a break darling."

"I haven't seen her in almost 2 months and she said she missed me..."

"Maybe when she wakes you should take her out, you know, to explore asgard!"

"Really?!" Loki asks excitedly,

"Yes, I shall inform your father and her parents!"

A few hours pass and you awaken at last, Loki's face lights up when he sees you awake, he rushes up to you and cups your face in his hands,

"Are you ok darling?! What were you thinking, did I upset you somehow?"

"No... I was just... overwhelmed by- well everything, when I didn't get to see you I realised that you are my only happiness and that... that hurt a little, but I'm fine now I promise!" You try to sound convincing but Loki isn't buying it at all,

"How would you feel if me and you went to explore asgard, just for fun, just the two of us, no pesky guards or adults!"

You smile and put your hand on his,

"I would like that very much."

He looks into your eyes with pure compassion and love, for a moment everything freezes, you realise how much you love him,

After you fully recover loki pulls you out of the door and rushes you both out of the palace gates, the first place you go is the market, loki watches lovingly as you look around filled with adorable curiosity, you pull him around untIl you have looked at everything, next he takes you to the park and you walk up the path, its different to the palace gardens, its more open and there are people everywhere, you hold lokis hand tight and walk to the bandstand, you both sit down and look deep into eachothers eyes, you lean into eachother and start to kiss under the shelter, the snowflakes begin to fall and the only thing keeping you warm is the love of your life,

You stare deep into his stunning emerald eyes and laugh a little when you notice him looking back at you,

With only a few days till the wedding you have never felt more in love with this man,
