"Just Friends"

Chapter 8- mitch's pov

After I kissed her forehead, I guessed I had dozed off and was awoken by the sound of a slammed door. It woke me up, but it didn't wake Sarah up. Thank god. She has had enough today and needs sleep. I slipped out and gently payed her head in the pillow. I quietly walked out of the room and down the stairs. My mom had just gotten home from work and the store.

"What time is it?" I whispered, but I guess she heard me.

"It's 5:30 sweetie. Why? Have you been on that computer since you got back from Brayden's?"

"Actually that's a no for once." I laughed. "Actually I was asleep."

"Asleep?"

"Yes mom I was asleep." I said hastily "What's wrong with that!"

"Mitch, is there something wrong? You never act like this."

"Ya there is. Can we talk?"

"Of course we can honey." We went and sat down in the living room she sat ob the couch and I sat down next to her.

"Ok, please don't be mad, but there may or may not be a girl asleep in my room."

"Mitch, what are you trying to say. What happened?"

"You know Sarah right?"

"Yes I do. How could I not you are constantly talking about her. Is something wrong with her?"

"Well her and Emily got into a fight, not a fist fight, and Emily ran out of the house. I found Sarah sitting on the bathroom floor crying and I kinda brought her here. Please Mom, is it ok if she stays here for the night. Her parents are away at a volleyball tournament for Easton, her little brother?"

"Yes, it seams like she needs someone and let me just add this in," My mom leaned in towards me and said, "I ship it."

"What the heck mom! How do you even know about ships?!!"

"I also live in this world. Your not the only one who uses the Internet," and with that she gave me a hug.

I walked quickly but quietly up the stairs to my room again. Sarah I was still sleeping. I tip-toed over to my computer and plugged my headphones in so I could Skype Brayden. I send him the request and he almost immediately accepted. I check to see if the web cam was on and it was. I left it on.

"Hey," I said quietly. "What's up?"

"Nothing really still trying to figure out what happened with Emily and Sarah."

"Oh and about that," I added. "What did you to do last night?"

"Well I guess Emily and I both were a little to in the moment and things went down. That didn't go THAT far if your thinking that, but we almost did."

"Brayden! How could you do that. Your never like that!" I said a bit to loudly. I heard Sarah turn over in bed. Shit. I mumbled.

"Mitch, I don't know what went through my mind. I honestly don't. All I can really remember was how hot Emily looked. It was like she was trying to impress me."

"Brayden! Take the hint! Emily does like you. Even I could tell!" Once again I said that to loudly. Then a sleepy,yet still beautiful Sarah appeared next to me. I patted a stop on my lap and she sat down. I unplugged my headphones to we both could here.

"Brayden, why was Emily so pissed at me. I didn't do anything that I know of." Sarah said sleepily.

"Sarah, I'm sorry you had to get caught in the middle of this. I'm pretty sure Emily is mad at me not you. And she just attacked the first person she could."

"Ok, whatever." she said. Sarah then nuzzled her head into my chest. She looked up and me with puppy dog eyes. "I already asked, she said yes." Sarah then put on the happiest smile ever and pecked a kiss on my lips. I instantly started to blush and had no where to go. Brayden was in front of me and Sarah was on my lap.

"Dude, I think I'm gonna go." Brayden said, winked and closed the call. I looked down at her, she was getting ready to click on the Minecraft short cut when I picked her up and threw her on the bed.

"Hey!"

"You can play Minecraft any day. Now plead cuddle with me until dinner is ready. Pleaseeeeee!"

"Yes silly of course I will." she said and poked me I the nose.
