Miranda smiled as the group of kids followed down behind her. She looked at all of them as they had on scrubs.

Miranda made her schedule light and had her easier patients today. So she could show them things with out it getting messy.

"Hey Mrs. Patterson." Miranda said walking into the room.
"Dr.Bailey."  The older woman beamed. "Aww and who are these lovely children."

"They are from... science and Medical academy, shadowing me for today." Miranda told her.

God it's burning up. Miranda thought to her self as she used her clip board to fan herself. This pre menopausal stage was killing her. The birth control and the hormonal medicine her doctor gave her, started it's side effects and Miranda was displeased with it.

After Miranda finished with her patient, it was time to take them to the cafeteria for their lunch break.
"Ow." Miranda said gripping the bottom of her stomach in pain. She blew out a breath as she took a pause.
"Dr. Bailey, what's wrong." Helm asked walking up to her.

"I fine, I just have a cramp." Miranda responded looking up. She was beginning to form a headache as well.

"Chief you are sweating though." Helm said "I need to check you out."

"I don't need you to check me out. I am fine just..." Miranda paused looking at the children.

"Hormonal." She whispered.
"Cheif I can take the students to the cafeteria and then they can be on my rotation. Just to make sure that it's nothing else going on with you." Meredith said and Miranda clicked her teeth.

"Fine." Miranda said walking with Helm who was touching her shoulder attentively.

"Mom are you okay." Nicole asked concerned.

"I'm fine honey. You go on with your class mates." Miranda smiled.

"Get off me." Miranda huffed to Helm. Shrugging her shoulder.

"I told you that I'm in menopause. I have been a doctor longer than you have and I would like to think that I know my own body." Miranda said sitting on the examining table.

Helm checked Miranda's blood pressure and heart rate.
"150 over 105" Helm said.

"That's probably just because you are stressing me." Miranda told her.

"Your heart rate is 149." Helm also told her.
"Chief I really think something isn't right " Helm said worried.

"For god's sake I'm telling you that it's hormonal. Check my blood and you will see it's high in hormones." Miranda said laying back.

Helm took her blood, to do a full work up.

"Okay the results are back." Helm said looking at her tablet.

"Okay how is my estrogen, FSH, progesterone, and thyroid." Miranda asked listing them.

"They are all high." She said
"Like I thought." Miranda huffed.
"Chief your HCG is high as well." Helm started.
"I think your pregnant." She finished looking at her.

"What no, it's high because I take birth control." Miranda explained.

"You and your husband still uses contraceptives. Y'all need them. " Helm asked perplexed.

"Uh, I am still old enough to have a baby, how old do you think we are? And really, that's none of your business." Miranda spoke sternly.

"Chief your Human placenta lactogen is high as well. That only happens when there is a plecenta inside of you. You are pregnant chief "
