Miranda set out the boneless wings, dip, sliders and other finger foods for the sleep over.

“Hey my boys.” Miranda said as they walked into the house. She didn’t even need to ask why they came home so late. It was evident that they were playing basket ball down the street.

The two boys had on balling shorts tennis shoes, and a horrible out door smell that hit her nose causing Miranda to be nauseous.
“Shit.” Miranda said as she ran to the bath room quickly. Miranda threw up and sat there for a while before flushing the toilet. Miranda got up and washed her mouth out before gargling mouth wash. She wiped her mouth before she went back into the living room to finish her task.

Miranda looked up at the front door as Ben came in. “Hey baby.” Ben said and Miranda instantly covered her nose. Not trying to smell.

“You’ve been gone for a while.” Miranda said holding her nose.

“Yeah I just got three miles in.” Ben told her as he looked at her funny.
“You went out with them sweat pants on.” Miranda asked looking down at them greys one’s.

“Sorry… I didn’t even think about it.” Ben said sheepishly.

“Mmmhhm, if I didn’t need it, you wouldn’t be satisfied until I dismember you Ben and please go take a shower. Leave the front door open for some air because you all stink.”

“I thought you loved my sweat.” Ben asked walking to the stairs.

“I love your sweat when I’m the reason you are sweating. Working up a sweat together, now go please before I throw up Ben. I’m not joking.” Miranda said and she walked out the room to let the scent die before she walked back in.

30 minutes later the door bell rung.
“Hey.” Miranda said walking to the door.

“Hey.” Maggie said coming inside.

“Oh Bailey you have a beautiful home.”

“Thank you.”

“Bailey you went all out. You are like the coolest mom.” Maggie said and Miranda smiled hearing that. She wanted to be the best mom she could be for all of her children.

Soon Miranda’s house was filled with young teenage girls laughing and eating. Miranda sat with Maggie as they ate as well. Maggie drunk her wine and Miranda sipped her water.

Miranda did facials as Maggie panted their toes what ever color they wanted.

“So any boy stories?” Maggie asked the girls.

Miranda watched as their eyes cut towards Nicole’s.
“There’s a boy.” Miranda gasped but then smiled.

“Are you all dating or talking…or what ever you call it.” Miranda asked

“No we are not dating. He just told me he likes me.” Nicole blushed as everyone else giggled.

“He asked if we could go to the movies or something…but I told him no.”

“Aww why.” Maggie asked and Miranda smiled. She knew Nicole liked him. She could tell because it was the same way with Ben. The nervousness and stuttering, even down to the part with telling him no to a date.

“Because I just need to focus on school.” She replied.

“That’s my girl. But it’s also okay to have extra curricular activities. Similar to me and work. School is your work life but you can have a home and relationship life. “ Miranda explained. “What’s his name?” Miranda asked curiously.

“Brandon.” She blurted blushing again.

“Before you all start to date I want to meet him.”

“Why.” She asked curiously.

“Because parents should meet all guys you are dating and going out with. We want to check him out too and it’s good that he will know he  has someone to answer to.” Miranda explained. Hoping she was saying the right things.

Miranda spent her time talking to the girls about relationships, friendships and everything else they asked. She was going to get up and let them have their time to their selves but they begged her to stay.

“Thank you for this.” Miranda told Maggie as she opened up the door.

“Oh it was my pleasure, they are real sweet girls and so very smart. I love it.”

Me too, I’ll see you at work on Monday.” Miranda smiled.

“Yup, sure will, alright have a good night.”

“You too.” Miranda called out as she closed the door.

Miranda then walked to the living room to make sure everyone was okay and she smiled at everyone in their sleeping bags asleep. Miranda climbed the stairs to her bed room.

She opened the door and smiled to see Ben already asleep, Miranda changed into her night gown and slid beside him. Miranda smiled as Ben’s arm went around her. She felt him place his palm flat against her breast. She wanted to tell him that was her breast and not her stomach but she decided against it because, she would rather it there than her small protruding belly.

A week later Ben finished his inventory. He stopped passed the family room in the station and he smiled seeing Carina and Mya sitting on the sofa.
“Hey Warren.” Mya smiled

“Hey captain. Hey, dr. Deluca.” Ben replied.

“I must say your baby has a very strong heart beat.” Carina said to Ben as she smiled looking at him before Maya.

Ben looked at her confused. “Bailey’s ultrasound appointment…today….she has one every other week” Carina said trying to jog his memory.

“What? What baby.” Ben asked getting upset.

Carina turned red as she realized he really didn’t know what she was saying. “Oh I’m so sorry Warren. I didn’t- I

“Excuse me for a minute.” Ben said.
“Of course.” Maya said.

Ben grabbed his keys and his jacket. Getting into his car slamming the car door.

Ben was beyond mad. He didn’t even remember getting to Grey Sloan. He was so focused on getting to Miranda.

Ben walked to her office and he  could see from the window that she was typing on her computer. Not bothering to knock Ben walked inside.

“Hey baby.” Miranda said looking up then standing.
Ben immediately ran his eyes across her body a dozen times. Why the hell hadn’t he noticed before. It’s wasn’t big but he could clearly see the roundness of her stomach. He looked at the wideness of her hips and the fullness of her breast that showed in her cleavage. Meaning she was farther along than what he assumed.

“Ben.” Miranda called as he stared At her.

“Ben honey what’s wrong.” Miranda asked fidgeting. She walked over to him and stood in front of him, slowly to reach out and touch his arm.
Ben moved away from her instantly.

“Don’t touch me.. not now Miranda.” Ben said angrily.

“You’re pregnant.” Ben asked her looking down at her.

Miranda’s eyes widen at his words and she knew that she was In deep shit. Someone mentioned it before she did.

“Yeah Ben.” Miranda said with a soft smile because she didn’t know what else to do.

“How long Miranda?” Ben asked and his jaw clenched

“4 months.” Miranda quickly told him.

Ben nodded his head. “How long have you known Miranda?” Ben questioned.

“2 months but Ben.

“2 months are you fucking kidding me Miranda you have kept this from me for two months. Why?

“Ben I was-

“You know what Miranda there is really no excuse other than selfishness. “ Ben said cutting her off.

“No Ben I was not thinking about my self, in fact I have-

Ben cut her off once more. “Everything revolves around you Miranda and you didn’t even think I was privy enough to know my wife pregnant with our child.

“Ben for god’s sake will you just listen for a moment please.” Miranda yelled.

“No because I can’t understand this Miranda. “ Ben yelled as his voiced echoed through her office.

Ben then turned on his heel. “Ben where are you going. We wasn’t done talking.”

“Oh now you want to talk. I’ll just see you at home Miranda.” Ben said blowing out a breath before walking out of her office shutting the door.

“Damit.” Miranda mumbled, she was literally messing up things with her husband almost every month and was continuously hurting him and none of it was on purpose but he was right slightly. Everything was not about her.

During dinner that night Ben and Miranda were silent other than talking to the kids. Miranda tried to make eye contact with Ben plenty of times but he wouldn’t even look her way and he was sitting right across from her.

Miranda walked passed Ben as he left out of the bathroom from his shower. She turned the water back on and took a shower.

After her shower, Miranda washed her face and put on her bra and panties. Miranda walked into their bed room and she looked at Ben who had the stack of papers on his lap.

Miranda sighed and went into her nightstand drawer. She pulled out the ultra sounds and walked over to Ben’s side of the bed.

“Ben. I’m sorry.” Miranda reached out handing them to him. Ben took the pictures from her hand lightly and he stared at each one with a long pause before moving onto the next one.

“I was scared Ben. I didn’t want to tell you before I made it passed the date where we were in the clear. I just didn’t want to get your hopes up again or my hopes up. “ Miranda told him softly.

“I know it’s your baby and you had the right to know all along. I was just- I was just scared.” Miranda said tears began to cloud her eyes, she hated being so emotional over the past couple of months.

Ben looked up at her and then his eyes traveled down to her stomach. Miranda grabbed his hand that wasn’t holding the pictures and she placed it on the roundness of her stomach. Ben began to run his hands across and he had a small smile on his face.

“This baby, is a fighter. They were definitely meant to be here. They fought their way through birth control and menopause. “ Miranda told him laughing a little trying to lighten the mood.

Ben laughed as he looked back at the pictures.

“Ben please don’t be mad and I need you to accept my apology so I can feel better about this. “ Miranda whined.

“I’m am still a little bit hurt but not mad and I do accept your apology. How is he or she doing and when are you in the clear.” Ben asked leaning down to kiss her stomach.

“From the appointment today they are absolutely fine. Strong heart beat and I won’t be in the clear until 2 more months.” Miranda said looking down at him.

“This all makes sense now, the fish, and the no sex.” Ben mumbled.
“I’m sorry again honey, but I wasn’t saying no sex because I didn’t want you to see my body. Carina really said no sex.” Miranda told him seriously.

“Another baby.” Ben said smiling.

“That’s what I said.” Miranda laughed.

Miranda walked to go get a night gown. She spent abruptly as Ben turned her. He hugged her lifting her off the grown. “Ben.” Miranda gasped in shock and then laughed.

“Oh the nausea Benjamin.” Miranda said covering her mouth as he put her down.

“Ok I’m sorry baby.” Ben said steadying her before kissing her lips.

Miranda wrapped her arms around his neck and she kissed him letting her tongue glide against his. Miranda couldn’t help but moan. She gasped as Ben lifted her carrying her to the bed.

“Wait wait Ben no sex.” Miranda said pushing down her night gown.

“Dam…sorry, sorry.” he groaned helping her fix her clothes.
