Mr.Smith was ten minutes late to class today. His glasses were on the top of his head, yet we watched as he searched for them for two minutes. Tanner looked across the room towards me. Tanner is the last person I would expect to look at me. I haven't talked to him since we broke up in the 9th grade, four years ago.
When Tanner gave me a "what is wrong with him" look, I thought I was going to pass out. I didn't want Tanner talking to me, let alone making eye contact with me. We broke up because he was always squeezing mine and Molly Sanders butt. After that Molly and I became very good friends, but then again, so did he and Jones.
I looked away as Mr.Smith started to talk, "well, I have a hangover. You can all talk, but if it reaches over 5 I will give you all essays," Mr.Smith was only 26 and this was his first year of teaching. He is by far the best History teacher at Riming High. Here at Riming High we have a noise level 1-10. 5 was a normal talking voice.
"What's up?" Molly asked as she took a seat next to me.
"Not much."
"Okay. I know you don't think so, but isn't Mr.Smith cute?" Molly was boy crazy no doubt about it.
"Well, if I wasn't a student and I was 26 and into those kinds of guys then maybe he would be cute, but I'm not."
"Whatever. So what was up with the look Tanner gave you?"
"You saw that?"
"I'm pretty sure everyone saw that. Saying that he is so hot that everyone was staring at him."
"Gag. He is gross I can't believe you-"
"It's rude to talk about me behind my back," Tanner was behind me. His hands were on my seat, and his head was on my shoulder. Too close for comfort, "want to play a game?" Tanner now was besides me.
"Do I have a choice?" I looked back at him, not turning my head.
"No" he had a smirk on his face, I turned around.
He looked over to Molly, he gestured with his hand, "Shoo."
She looked at me raising her eyebrows over and over again and laughed. After she left he went back to talking, "where were we?"
I smiled at him, "You were about to leave."
"Right!" He said, "We were going to play a game."
"I don't want to play a game, and definitely not with you."
"Oh, but we already went over this, you don't have a choice," jerk, "plus it is going to be really fun."
"Yeah I said I didn't want to."
"Say your two truths and a lie," He leaned in whispering in my ear, "we both know you have plenty of lies," I turned my head away from him, "don't tell me the Charlie Anderson is backing down on a game of Two Truth and a Lie."
"Yeah I am. Now would you leave me alone?" I knew he wasn't going to leave no matter what it is I say.
"Charlie Anderson is backing down from a game of Two Truths and a Lie!" He said this as loud as he possible could get causing people to turn towards us. My face was heating up as people started to circle around us.
"I-I said I didn't want to play," he looked angry, "oh I'm sorry is rich boy Tanner not used to getting his way?" The class all turned and looked at him.
"Everyone back to their seats, you are reaching a 6," Mr.Smith said while rubbing his temple. I am so glad he did that.
Or at least I was before I noticed Tanner was sitting next to me. He scooted close, until his hip hit mine. He his arm over my shoulder, I went to go hit it but he leaned in before I could and whispered, "I wouldn't do that. Oh and don't make a fool of me in front of the class again," he slowly moved his hand off of my shoulder, "I will be waiting for you after school," he leaned in closer kissing my cheek before getting up as the bell rang and leaving class.
So Reader, I can I trust you with a truth? You see I am truly dreading what is going to happen after school.
