Our War | Itachi X Reader

"This is going to be one hell of a ride."

Arriving at the shrine, we all knelt onto our respective mats. There seemed to be designated seats for each person, though they were never officially assigned. I always sit at the mat in the far left of the back row. I have never been one for attention, and where I sit is another effect of that. Everyone was seated at their mats, and Fugaku was standing at the front, accompanied by Mikoto and Shisui. It's quite odd for Shi to be up there, his seat is in the front row, but he never directly helps lead the meetings.

"We have called this meeting, because a great threat is looming over the Uchiha clan," Fugaku begins, hands crossed behind his back ; wearing his casual kimono rather than his normal formal green one.

I begin to grow rather nervous, is it the Hyuga that Shisui mentioned? I hope not, I also hope he doesn't expose my eyes, especially when I have no control of anything besides Susanoo and Amaterasu. Though I don't believe he would.

"The Hyugya, a very formidable clan, has threatened us for the eyes of one of our own," I gasp and my shoulders tense, it's just as Shisui told me.

"This person's Mangekyo Sharingan has very special abilities, which the Hyuga are in search of. These eyes were the same as the sage of six path's daughter, Seren. For protection we will not be leaking this person's name or what their eyes can do." He finishes. Shisui stepped forward next to Fugaku, and glanced back at me to study my reaction. I stare at him with the same intensity he's giving me.

"We will be training this person in private, for if we erupt into a civil war, I'm afraid they're the only one who can stop it," Fugaku nodded, and added onto Shi's statement.

"Yes, it has also appeared that the Uchiha were the only ones to know this information, meaning someone in this room leaked it to the Hyuga that these eyes had been reincarnated. We will discuss plans of action with those necessary, and rest assured we will find the mole here. Whichever you are," he scans his eyes across the room. "You are a disgrace, not only to the Uchiha, but to the whole village." His tone held malice and disappointment, I would hate to be on the receiving end of it. "With that, meeting dismissed," He finished.

I looked towards Shisui, who flicked his hand in a 'come here' motion. I walked over to where he was standing, and bowed to Mikoto, Fugaku, and Itachi who had just joined them. Looking Itachi straight in the eye as I lifted my head back up. "Fugaku, Mikoto, lovely to see you again," I politely state. Nodding towards Itachi in polite recognition, even if he was currently upset with me.

"Likewise y/n, now we really must discuss, I presume Shisui informed you on your position within this?" Fugaku said with a much more quiet voice than a few moments ago. Something about the way he looked at me seemed different, almost as if he held me with a bit more respect now that I have Seren's eyes. I nod in response to his question, and he nods back.

"I have a few questions, which is only natural I suppose," I pause, glancing at Itachi who looked like he made no move to leave. "I mean this with no disrespect, but are we to discuss this in front of Itachi?"

"No disrespect taken," He glanced at Itachi. "I wish for Itachi to be filled in on the situation as much as possible, and assist Shisui and Obito with your training." I nodded, though things may be a bit awkward with Itachi now. Said man tensed beside me, and his eyes - though barely noticeable - held shock. My brain urged me to smirk in triumph at the fact that I may be able to fully surpass him now.

"I understand," I replied back to Fugaku, and looked around the now empty shrine. Most people had left rather quickly today, probably to continue the activities they abruptly stopped. "My first question is who will operate which parts of my training?"

"Itachi will work with you on the Tsukuyomi, Obito will work with you on the Kamui, and Shisui will work with you on the Kotoamatsukami. You can find assistance from them whenever you need, but I'm afraid you will have to read on the other powers, for no one we know of has possessed them. I trust you have your Amaterasu and Susanoo mastered?" Fugaku sternly questioned.

"Yes sir, I do. I also know that this will take time to master, is there a specific time frame I have? Since the Hyuga have only threatened, and haven't done any physical attacks ; would a few months sound correct?"

"Yes, though I need you to master them as quickly as you can. There is an ultimate power you gain when mastering each technique, but we do not know what it is, only that we need it to save the village from a civil war."

Though I kept a calm facade, and took the news well, I was panicking. The fate of the clan rests on my shoulders.

This is going to be one hell of a ride.
