S U M M A R Y...

JUDITH AMELIA MARTIN had never been considered normal, even by demigod standards. It wasn't so much that she was odd, per say. Or even off putting. She was just... abnormal. There was an air about her, some intangible aura, that set her apart from her peers, and made it that much harder to avoid the attention (read: pressure) they put on her. This unsettled Jude for a number of reasons:

One, she wasn't even technically a demigod. She was more... demigod adjacent. Her grandparents had been demigods, a daughter of Aphrodite and a son of Apollo respectively, before they retired to raise a family and attempted to lead a normal life. They had been remarkably important back in their day, between her grandfather's visions and her grandmother's charm speak, together they had stopped more than a few crises from ever beginning. Jude had been lucky enough-or unlucky enough if you asked her- to inherit a few of their gifts.

Two, Jude could see the future. A gift so rare, only a handful of people had been proven to possess it within the last three hundred years. Difficult to control, and terrifying to watch, her visions had been a safety net during the war. Helping to keep them one step ahead of the enemy. Until they hadn't, and Jude had lost the people that meant the most to her. Lee, Charlie, Michael, Selina, Uncle Mateo. What good is being able to see the future if she can't use it to protect the people she cares for the most?

Three, The Titan war has been over for four months. Jude knows this to be true. She was there, for god's sake, had fought through exhaustion, pain, and heartbreak to see Kronos fail and watch Percy Jackson walk away from that stupid mountain. Everything was supposed to be getting better, returning to normal (or as normal as life can be for a demigod adjacent, 14 year old girl). So why were her visions getting worse? Why had the King of the Gods shut down Olympus four weeks ago?Why would her heart only stop racing when she had a sword in her hand? And why, for the love of Hades, is Annabeth Chase calling her in the middle of her Biology exam?
