A different kind

Not so bad

"Matt Parker?" I glanced at Matt while he raised his hand.
"Justin Fox?"
I looked at Matrix knowing she would know who Justin was and I looked where her eyes were. Not so bad on the eyes..or lips..or everything. He caught me looking at him and waved his fingers and said, "Heyyyy." So he's either gay or just really friendly. Either way I'm fine.
"Ahem, is Jayce Ford here?" I jumped at my name and turned completely red when I realized everyone was staring at me. I was about to say yes but when I opened my mouth Matt's voice was there instead of mine.
"Jayce Ford is here Mrs. Miller."
I turned my head and smiled. He mouthed no problem and I nodded. The whole period we just got to know everyone in class and it was over quickly. I wished Matrix good luck when I turned around and bumped into someone's chest. I looked up and felt my face burning.
"Oh, hey Matt," I laughed lightly.
"Hey J! You know since we have all our classes together we can walk together," he said loudly, smiling. He just called me J omg this is getting serious, I thought.
"Yea!" I laughed while nodding. We headed to the main hallway when I asked, "Matt do you know where we're supposed to go?"
"Yea of course I do. Our class is on the other side," he replied confidently. I trusted him since he's been here before and didn't give it a second thought. I followed him all the way down to the last hallway and he walked straight into class but I noticed something. The sign on the door said Mrs. Fuller. I took a look at my schedule and we were supposed to be in Mrs. Beth's classroom! I opened the door and quickly pulled Matt back out of the classroom. He looked at me with wide eyes and a red face.
"We aren't at the right class are we.." he asked flatly.
"Oh my god," I said laughing. Soon we were both laughing together in harmony.

"Bruh we're late!" I said panicking. It was my first day so.. I pulled Matt's arm taking the lead this time. We both speed walked for a while when we finally found the right class.
We walked in and I was prepared for eyes burning into my soul. Turns out that Justin kid was in there too! The teacher was turned towards the board so I quickly sat in an empty seat next to Justin. He looked at me and laughed.
"Rookie," he commented.
I glared at him jokingly and giggled.
"Jayce right? Im Justin, your hero," he said winking at me with his hands on his hips. I laughed and said I know. I then realized I probably came off as creepy and sounded like Matrix or something.
"Hey can I see your schedule?" Justin asked bouncing up and down in his seat. He's like a cute little puppy that's also a cheerleader.
"Oh yea sure!" I replied just as happily. Wow I'm making friends! I wonder how the others are doing.

Did I just have a conversation with Matrix through my mind. Wow, okay. I actually got in trouble during this class period because me and Justin got a long so well we couldn't stop talking. She actually had to move me... The rest of the class I was quiet though and it went by so slowly. The opposite of Mrs. Miller's class. Finally it was time for lunch, the one class I had with all of the squad. Including Matt and Justin but I'm not gonna sit next to them or anything. I walked into the cafeteria with my head held high and a striding kind of walk. It means that you're not scared in animal, although nobody would probably know that. It's instinct. I breathed in and smelled Splice instantly. She's a bit over board on perfume. I turned right and saw Splice, Matrix, and Pyther all at one table. They were all looking at me and I waved my eyebrows. I was in the line and was about to leave when I heard Matrix again.

Once I bought my lunch I walked over to the table and snarled jokingly at Matrix. She laughed at me. Splice and Pyther looked confused for a bit but started conversation in a strange way.
"You met a boy didn't you?" Asked Pyther with a questioning look.
"Damn sixth sense," I smirked at her.
Suddenly both Pyther and Splice's eyes widened.
"Omg how are you doing this?!" Pyther exclaimed looking around like she was going crazy.
"We're right next to each other," Splice laughed. Wow their reactions are completely opposite.
"MATRIX STOP MIND TALKING TO THEM," I said loudly laughing afterwards.
"Wait how-"
"My mind is developing Pyther," Matrix said winking.
"STOP DOING THAT!" Pyther yelled. Pyther hates it when Matrix reads her mind. It does get pretty annoying because some thoughts are only meant for me and nobody needs to know them..at all. We all burst out laughing and continued eating our food. Splice, like usual barely eats and just pokes her food.
I then felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around. I didn't see anyone but I heard laughing on my other side so I turned the other way.
"Really Justin?" I said laughing.
"Hahaha," He was looking at sqaud.
"Oh, this is Ma-" I felt a pinch in my side and I knew why.
"I mean this is Claire, Kat, and Paige," I told Justin pointing at each one. He smiled at them and squatted down next to me so he could get to my face level.
"So J, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the park today after school? Claire and Kat and Paige can come too because I'm bringing some friends as well."
"Hmm," I looked at them for approval and Matrix's voice in my head told me to say yes.
"Yea we would love too come but who's coming with you?"

Ma shut up

"Matt, Jack, and Joseph," he replied.

Mmm so one for each, I thought.

"So I'll tell them you guys are coming?" Justin asked.
"Yea yea just which park though?"
"Trinity Falls. Hey we can take you guys if you want," he suggested. I thought about it a for a while.
"I was just suggesting I mean you don't-"
"Sure," I smiled.
"Okay! See you guys later," he said happily and walked back to his table. I watched him walk by with a faint smile on my lips.
"You like him don't you?" Pyther asked.
Yea, but not like that...yet," I said the last part quietly and I don't think they heard me. Then I realized Pyther's super hearing. I looked up and she was smiling at me.
Turns out I had all my classes but two with Justin. Each minute we talked and got closer and closer. Same with Matt, but I know Matt was already claimed.

A smile appeared on my face.
Maybe, school won't be so bad:)
