Only an hour later and I was already 8 and a half centimeters.
I had the stupid weird looking hat on and Derek had his yellow scrubs on. I was ecstatic because the doctor was already strolling me down to the OR.
We stopped outside the doors for some reason.
"You're going to have to stay out here until everything is ready. We'll come and get you when its time. " the doctor says.
He looked at me with sad eyes. "I love you. " he smiles kissing my forehead.
I smiled back. "Love you too Derek. " I say as they stroll me into the OR with big, bright fluorescent lights and tools that looked like tourchre machines.
They sat me on the operating table and lifted the back of my hospital gown. "This is going to sting a bit honey but it will numb your whole body." The girl nurse said. I squeezed my eyes shut as the huge wire like needle pierced my flesh. I bit my lip because of the stinging sensation in my spine. After that I could not feel anything.
The nurse gently layed me onto the hard table. She than put a weird screen in front of me and attached some kind of needle in my forearm.
This was it. I was about to see our princess.
Derek later came in and sat next to me. I wanted to hold his hand but my arms were strapped down to the sides of the table.
I peered at Derek and smiled widly.
"I love you. " I smile.
Love you more." He says.
Although I was numb I could still feel a little bit of pressure happening.
"You two are going to be parents very, very soon. "The surgeon said.
I smiled and waited.
About 10 minutes later a tiny mewing sound echoed across the room.
"Its a girl! " he announced holding her up so we could see.
I began to cry. "Shes beautiful. " I sniffled.
Derek smiled and the tears ran down his cheeks.

I awoke to the sound of Dereks voice.
"Look baby girl daddys waking up. " he says to the tiny infant.
I smiled at how cute it was.
Derek bent down and placed her in my arms. The feeling was breathtaking and I began to cry as she gazed up at me with half shut eyes.
I creased her tiny lips with my finger.
"Hi baby girl. I love you so much. " I sob.
I kiss her forehead and gazed at her with awe.
"I love you so much Savannah. " I smile as the tears spilled down my cheeks.
She closed her eyes now and opened her tiny mouth and licked them with her puny tounge.
"I can't believe she's finally here." I say to Derek.
'Shes beautiful. " he smiled.
