After Gojo's talk with Yuji, our eyes met once more before Gojo put him to sleep. Gojo stepped aside, letting him fall, but it was like my body moved on its own. I rushed towards Yuji, catching him in my arms. Letting out a heavy sigh once he was safe from harm. Hearing the familiar laugh from our teacher, "I had a feeling, he was your soulmate." Even without looking back, I could imagine that smirk painted on his face, "it doesn't matter." I said as I gently put Yuji on the floor.

Gojo leaned on my shoulder as I watched the pink boy sleep peacefully, "why doesn't it matter my dear student?" Pushing him off me as I turned my back on him, "it's not my choice, they'll kill him once they find out that he ate the finger." Megumi stood up with Gojo's shopping bag in hand, "well, what do you want to happen to him?" He asked.

Turning around to look at the man picking the boy up as if he were a sack of potatoes. "He must be executed under regulations, but I don't want him to die, Sensei" I quietly spoke my opinion still not used to being asked what I would want to happen. My family would just tell me what would happen with none of my input, but since I became a student, Gojo nearly always asks for my opinion. It was strange.

Even if I didn't want a soulmate, I couldn't deny the fact that this was my reality. Every time our eyes met with each other, my heartbeat would increase as Yuji's eyes gazed deep into me. Doesn't mean I would tell him the truth.

"I don't want to let him die, so please do something about it," Megumi said as Gojo's attention changed to his other student. He smiled brightly at us before giving us a thumbs up, "a precious student request. Leave it to me!" After that, we headed back to where Yuji was immediately locked up. Both Megumi and I went to our rooms to try and sleep; however, I couldn't sleep; my mind was only on one person, and that was my soulmate. Yuji Itadori.

Opening my eyes as I sit up in my bed, "I might regret this, but I won't be able to sleep otherwise." I mumble under my breath as I quickly get dressed and sneak out the door, towards that room, but before I grabbed a water bottle. If I got caught, I could use it as my cover. With soulmates, you can track your other half down easily. It's as if you have a GPS in your mind to where they are at all times, and I know exactly where he was being kept.

Tiptoeing around the place before finally making it there, I could hear people speaking in the room and quickly used my merged into the shadows. This was another one of my abilities to hide into the shadows. "Die now, or find the remaining parts of Sukuna and die after taking it all into your body." Holding in my gasp as I heard Gojo speak, the decision from the higher-ups had already been made. I couldn't let Yuji die.

The door opened, and out came Gojo, he turned to where I was immediately, and I stopped breathing. Hoping he wouldn't notice me but he was Gojo. "You can go and see him now, I'll keep a lookout for you" he spoke with a smirk as I stepped out from the shadows in the walls. "Why would you do that? And also who said I wanted to speak to him?" I crossed my arms as my eyes watched the older man.

"We both know why you want to speak to him. He's your s-" before he could finish his sentence I rushed to him covering his mouth. "You can't tell anyone" I whispered as I looked around, she had spies everywhere. "Don't worry I won't tell your mum or anyone but I did tell him about soulmates so if you don't want him to know I would cover that mark" he spoke with a smirk as he touched my mark causing it to sting.

Quickly covering my mark with my hair, hoping it would cover it enough, "also I'm helping you because I love a good romance story." He spoke with a dreamy look as I ignored him and walked in, "that's not gonna happen."

Closing the door softly behind me, missing what Gojo said as he sat at the windowsill, "fate will always find a way, no matter what you do. That person will always be your own." His eyes glanced at the moon as memories rushed passed. Gojo unconsciously touched the place where his mark once was.

Once I was in the room, my heart began to thump against my rib cage. I kept my back to him as I tried to figure out why I had stepped foot into this room. "Are you just going to stand there?" I jumped at the sound of his voice.

Turning around slowly to face him, his face was covered in dried blood and bruise. Cringing at the sight of him, I couldn't say anything as my hands began to feel sweaty. I regret this. My mouth wouldn't let any words out as I walked towards him before ripping off one of my sleeves and began cleaning him up. Putting some water on the piece of clothing as I slowly helped him. Yuji's gaze was on me the entire time, "thank you." I nodded my head as I carried on, "what's your name?" I was finally finished and began to pack up, making sure I left no evidence of me being there. "My name is (Y/N)" I said as I stood up and walked towards the door.

But before I could reach the door, he called out my name "(Y/N)." I stopped in my tracks, why did my heart skip a beat at a random boy calling my name? Turning around to him, "Gojo told me about soulmates, and I was wondering what my mark looked like, so could you check for me. He said it was on the back of my neck." Nodding my head without a word as I slowly walked behind him, I didn't need to look to know what it was. But I couldn't let him know that I also had the same mark.

"It's a chain."

(This is what I imagined their mark to look like but you can pick something else)

And with that I carried on walking to the door, I kept my eyes facing forward, towards the door as my hand rested on the handle

And with that I carried on walking to the door, I kept my eyes facing forward, towards the door as my hand rested on the handle. "I know you're going through a tough time now, your grandad died and now all this but" I paused as I took a deep breath.

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and very dear."

Looking over my shoulder, giving him a small smile "I've experienced death before, but you'll learn to live with it. I have." And with that, I opened the door and left to see Gojo sitting by the window.

"This is our secret," I said, narrowing my eyes at the man as he jumped down to me with a smile. His pinky held out as I rolled my eyes at his childish behaviour but still wrapped my pinky around his. "I'll take it to my grave," his eyes never leaving mine.

Letting go of his pinky as I began walking back to my room, "I'm taking him to visit one of his friends, you can come if you want." Gojo asked me as I stopped in my step, "I don't care." I flipped my hair as I carried walking down the hallway.

"Sure you do, I'll take that as a yes and I'll bring Megumi, the more the merrier" Gojo spoke to himself with a smirk.
